In the spirit of my post (haha, spirit!) I give you a rec for some hilarious crack!fic. [livejournal.com profile] tigertrapped has written a House/Constantine crossover. It's a WIP but that's no matter because it's less the plot, more the dialogue that you want to look out for. Knows her fandoms, does Tiger, and loves them well.

With that, dear flist, I present Diagnosis: Demon!

OK. I'm home. Much happened today. But the most potent detail of the day? OW FRAKKING OW ARMS OW FREAKING SUITCASE OW MANY MANY STAIRS OW.

In other news, I am watching House. I can no longer watch the worst humour parts of this show. Reason: I HAVE LOST MY IMMUNITY TO TV BADNESS. And please, the colouring! Why? But this is still fucking awesome. And next? Grey's Anatomy, yo!

ETA: This flat is always so freaking cold.

Apparently pimp hats are all the rage this year. Which, you know, whatever. Omar Eppes is looking "fly", as they say. (Hey, do I sound like an inept white chick yet? Because that would be the ultimate irony).

HA! Finally watched this week's SVU Only L&O left, wahey :) Also watched House and let me just say, they got me. I mean, I can still feel myself resisting the ship but, yeh. They got me. More on that behind the cut.

SVU: FIN LOVE, W00t! )

House, Meisha and The Ship - specific spoils to 107 and stuff that comes before )

Yeh, so that was that. Atlantis tonight, whee! And BSG in the US which I probably won't get until Tuesday. And work tomorrow - aw, man. Hate. But whee! Atlantis!

P.S. [livejournal.com profile] tigertrapped? There's like 2.5 hours more space on the tape. I can probably fit another three on there. Which basically means...I lied. Won't get the tape to you for a while. AND BISH?! WOULD YOU SEND THOSE GODDAMN TAPES BACK TO ME ASAP? PLEASE. I DON'T GIVE A TOSS IF THE DAMN THINGS HAVEN'T TRANSFERRED, I'M JUST GOING TO SEND AS IS. Ahem. Thanks.

* I love them really. They give the best spoilers. But they are insane. No, really. You cannot have a different opinion. It is not allowed! It's a scary place for a gen shipper to wander into. You have to be faithful and committed to teh ship or you DIE. Seriously. Crazies. BUT I STILL GO THERE SO DON'T ATTACK ME PLEEEAAASE! And anyway, I don't post anything anymore. I just check out what I want and get the freaking hell out of dodge.

And huzzah for July 26th! The date when I finally let go of the Miami fandom. The date when five finally shows Lost Son. Yes, there will be tears. Yes, there will be mourning. Yes, there will be black flags and garb &c. &c. But also there will be a peace; the peace that comes at the end of a long struggle.

And then I'll never have to watch Miami again.

So that's July 26th: CSI:Miami's 3rd season comes to the UK.

Oh House. So, like, Happy Birthday? Yeh. Does Foreman, poor love, ever get tired of just beingwrong? Does Cameron, dear god, ever get tired of kissing ass? Do the writers - damn - ever get tired of perpetuating these stereotypes? No? Ha, good! My favourite scene had to be when House is talking to that mother who thinks her daughter is fat. "Maybe you can wear matching outfits. Oh my god, you can't be her mother - you're far too young!" Heh.

Other than that, copper strikes again (if you remember as far back as last week, the nun had a copper allergy too). Wilsensei is obviously the gayest man alive and Cuddy is still lots of fun. Now let's give Cameron something to do other than suck up, yeh?

Stargate: Atlantis (s1) starts tonight! And in the US, BSG (S2) is up again (as well as SG1 and SG:A but ch.4 & 5 will get there eventually). I'm hoping someone will rip it quick so I can d/l asap. Family are going to be here this weekend (for a BBQ but in typical Sod's Law style, it's cooler today, and more grey). I'm back at work on Saturday morning (oh please *cries*) even though it is The Sister's birthday. The upside to this is that I will once again be receiveing a disposable income which, in layman's terms, means that I CAN BUY STUFF YAY. Stupidest thing aboyt going back to work? Can't go to [livejournal.com profile] wishes_of_stone's party tonight. Am actually not allowed. So now I must go make my apologies.

That's one week since prom, people, and nothing catastrophic has happened yet. Except school ends in a week and there won't be an excuse for me to go and just hang around the empty spaces.

In terms of everything that has happened, please read what [livejournal.com profile] hestia8 has to say because it's very truthful and honest. I am proud, too, of the way things have been handled. I'm still shocked and sad, but I'm proud. Also, my uncle and my cousin were safe (although my uncle was horridly close by) and every one else that we needed to find were found.

In other news, tonight is my prom. Yeh. Don't quite know whether or not that's a good thing. So the plan for today is to help The Mother do some chores (because I don't want to argue with The Mother today; too exhausting), read the updates on { Bright Shiny Objects } and try not to freak out some time during the course of the day. Or maybe I'll reserve an hour in the middle of the day just to lose it before tonight. Yes, perhaps that's a better course of action.

and because the world moves on... last night's House )

OK, off to go do...stuffs now. Like the washing. Let's wash some clothes and iron some blouses. Yes, let's.

So, my immune system has oviously been shot to hell because I have the worst cold. And this time, it actually IS a cold as opposed to just hayfever. Bleurgh.

Watched both Murphy's Law and House last night. The thing with British series isn't actually one thing, it's two. Firstly, the seasons temd to be six to ten episodes long which isn't long enough at all but can make for some pretty compelling drama within a short space of time. The second thing is that because the BBC doesn't have advertising, the series are a full hour long. Murphy's Law, this season, has had the feel of 24; not that it's about terrorists or anything like that but it's had the same quality of tension to it. I know I couldn't watch the series again. 24 is only around 45 mins. per episode and because the season is stretched out over 24 episodes, some of them aren't so tough as others. ALso, because of the three/four act format, you get ebbs and flows within each episode. So it's bloody tense but you get a break every now and then.

This is so NOT the case when you're watching Murphy's Law. Everything is all go, all the time and even when there's nothing actually happening on screen, even when things are winding down, they're still so taut. This isn't a feature that's specific to seaosn 3, either. Last year, in the case with the girl who was hiding as a nun, the ending to that was terrific (and I mean that in the more archaic sense of the word). It left me unsetlled, disturbed. But the next week swung around and all was levity again. Season 3 has been hardcore from start to finish and this is where the difference between British and American TV really hits home because all six episodes we're packed to the brim with feeling. We don't have nine months to play out a story; it's six months in six weeks (six hours) and it's one thing after another, bam bam bam. You don't get a chance to take a breath and it's actually quite difficult to watch at times. I'd never be able to sit with the series and watch it in one go. never. I'll admit, it wasn't what I tuned in for but after a while, I began to like it for what it was, as opposed to what I wanted it to be. Brilliant acting by all the cast, epecially James Nesbitt; also, fantastic storylines that always keep you guessing. Applause also to the directors, especially whoever shot the finale because it was so well cut and put together. Just wow.

House is still going strong. Cut for spoilers. You're warned. Oh, this also becomes rantage mid-way - I apologise )
