{ leaving fingerprints all over my mind }

HA! Finally watched this week's SVU Only L&O left, wahey :) Also watched House and let me just say, they got me. I mean, I can still feel myself resisting the ship but, yeh. They got me. More on that behind the cut.
This episode was interesting. So far this season we've had a Livvie episode, a Cragen & Munch episode and now, finally, a Stabler & Fin one. Well, I don't care so much about Stabler - he always gets his moment. Bit this was really interesting, because it started off in one direction (police persecution of sex offenders; Elliot (how many freakin' L's is it??) obsessing over teenage girls again) and ended up in another (FINMEISTER!) It was an awesomely fast transition too; one minute it was Stabler's show and then whoosh! Nope, not any more pal. And I'm fine with that because it just went on to exemplify Fin's little rant at Cragen: "You're not black and you're not from da hood." Let me interject to say that I love that he actually said 'da' hood. I love Ice-T.
The case itself was really interesting, I thought, because of all the pathology incited behind it. I'm beginning to like Huang more and more; the way he profiles is completely different to Goren and he always looks like he's just doing his job as opposed to coming across a revelation. I dislike the idea of pre-profiling on principle but I can get over it because I know the force uses it and that it's useful if not always accurate. (That's another thing I love about L&O: they were never afraid to discredit Olivet or Skoda - especially Skoda - even if they'd been of help on previous occasions). However, that being said, I'm still not into Cabott all that much. She irritates me on a preternatural level. I mean, I can cheer her on but mostly I just get annoyed. Whatever.
All in all, it was worth the wait. but you can bet I'm going to just watch the damn thing when it airs tomorrow.
You know, if I hadn't become something of a ship-snob in the past few years, I would have totally jumped on the Cameron/House bandwagon to begin with. I mean, Cameron is like a watered down version of Sara. I think the fact that she has less balls means that I like her less but I can let that slide. But the entire dynamic (and the fact that she's a brunette - what? You all know my bias) would have been enough to have me. Except then I started wanted less character stuff and more procedural and went all bitch on fandom. As it was, I was determined not to ship H/C (ha! Hurt/comfort. That only amuses me, right?) and then I saw tonight's episode and goddamit, the entire idea behind Cameron's backstory is something I've wanted to exploit in a fic or an actual original fic for, like, ever. Young grief. And then Cameron got it and yeh, I'm apparently shipping multiple couples on the show. I have an idea for a fic which doesn't end in happily ever after but works well enough - if only I can actually write the damn thing, you know? But grrr! Now I want to like her and the ship but I'm still fighting it. Because I know it can't end well. (Just LOOK at how CSI and the YTDaW crazies* KILLED my SHIP!)
OK, on to the episode. It amuses me that The Cottages are beginning to leach onto House's idea of treating-before-knowing-the-problem. And I LOVE that House rides Foreman because semantics aside, I think that's one of the best relationships portrayed. Foreman resents House's treatment of him but I think of the three Cottages? Foreman totally has House's respect and that's awesome. Oh and would you PLEASE resolve the Wilensei Wife Drama (WWD)? I like that House has his back and is actually pretty nice to the guy but everyone can see that he's only wearing French shoes and nice ties for House. It's the hugest case of HoYay I have ever seen. Jeez. (See what io mean about multiple ships? there's a third one that I won't mention just yet mostly because the writers really killed it). Also Meisha+Cuddy=OTfrickinO. That woman is brilliant.
The actual case was about...? Oh yeh, Infidelity and The Dying Woman. You know, as soon as we heard it was an affair not only did I know it had been her, I knew it was with his best friend. I don't know how we're supposed to react to the case. Are we supposed to feel sympathy for her because she is imperfect and couldn't help it or should we condemn her? And going back to Cameron, what? I mean, just...what? *too confused* Did she cheat on her Dying Man? WHAT?
Yeh, so that was that. Atlantis tonight, whee! And BSG in the US which I probably won't get until Tuesday. And work tomorrow - aw, man. Hate. But whee! Atlantis!
P.S. tigertrapped? There's like 2.5 hours more space on the tape. I can probably fit another three on there. Which basically means...I lied. Won't get the tape to you for a while. AND BISH?! WOULD YOU SEND THOSE GODDAMN TAPES BACK TO ME ASAP? PLEASE. I DON'T GIVE A TOSS IF THE DAMN THINGS HAVEN'T TRANSFERRED, I'M JUST GOING TO SEND AS IS. Ahem. Thanks.
* I love them really. They give the best spoilers. But they are insane. No, really. You cannot have a different opinion. It is not allowed! It's a scary place for a gen shipper to wander into. You have to be faithful and committed to teh ship or you DIE. Seriously. Crazies. BUT I STILL GO THERE SO DON'T ATTACK ME PLEEEAAASE! And anyway, I don't post anything anymore. I just check out what I want and get the freaking hell out of dodge.
