Dreamed Saffron Burrows wanted me to give up meat. I was trying to explain that I'm already a vegetarian, but she wouldn't listen. Woman is tall, guys. Srsly.

Five has this long-running tradition of running two crime shows side-by-side; it started when they bought CSI and L&O, and went on as they paired up variations of each show. Then they bought NCIS a couple of years ago, and now they also have Numb3rs. The way it works is: a show-duet runs from February through July, non-stop, and then another pair run from September through December. The repeats air in whichever half of the year the originals aren't playing. (So: CSI and L&O will run February through July and then repeat the rest of the year.)
The only reason I am thrown by this is: all the new seasons are premiering this week. NCIS and Numb3rs S5 started yesterday (with the NCIS episode apparently repeating tonight, instead of the usual double-bill repeats from earlier seasons ;that's a move that makes no sense to me); CSI:NY S5 and L&O S15 starts tonight; and CSI season 9 starts on Tuesday. (Crime nights are: Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; in that mix five will show various CSIs, L&Os and NCIS; they're adding Numb3rs to that mix now, too.)
I am only talking about this because of the buck in trend. I am aware that no-one that isn't me gives a damn.
I may go back to watching television on the television. I find that I prefer watching CSI that way (the trails for which, by the way, have me totally excited for Tuesday) and I think I might watch CSI:NY that way, too, as I still haven't worked my way around to watching the latest episode of that. I just hope that I don't get sucked back into watching Numb3rs, heh; I tend to sit and watch through to the L&O repeat with my knitting on hand, though I didn't sit through it last night.
I'm also massively tempted to watch NCIS again tonight, despite only having watched it last night. OH SHOW.

I have actual work to do this weekend, huzz. Whilst I was at the centre on Friday, a fair few people came in and signed up for courses and one of them is starting an intro to email course which comes with a booklet. The thing is, the booklet that we've got only deals with one email interface (Yahoo Mail) and so I'm going to sort out equivalents for Hotmail and Gmail. Because I can.
The other thing we're working on is trying to sort out on-line 'seminars'/tutorials. Boss Lady seems quite excited about this but she loses focus very easily so I am less excited. Either way, I need to read The Mother's CLAiT textbook this weekend. Huzz?

Apparently no-one else liked this week's NCIS? I enjoyed it. Self-contained, a-to-b narrative, a couple of gags and a satisfyingly pat ending. Not the best episode we've had, but nothing terrible about it.
I have recently discovered that there are people who hate McGee, which I don't understand in the least. Being indifferent towards him, sure, that I can get, but hating him? What? What?
