Dreamed Saffron Burrows wanted me to give up meat. I was trying to explain that I'm already a vegetarian, but she wouldn't listen. Woman is tall, guys. Srsly.

Five has this long-running tradition of running two crime shows side-by-side; it started when they bought CSI and L&O, and went on as they paired up variations of each show. Then they bought NCIS a couple of years ago, and now they also have Numb3rs. The way it works is: a show-duet runs from February through July, non-stop, and then another pair run from September through December. The repeats air in whichever half of the year the originals aren't playing. (So: CSI and L&O will run February through July and then repeat the rest of the year.)

The only reason I am thrown by this is: all the new seasons are premiering this week. NCIS and Numb3rs S5 started yesterday (with the NCIS episode apparently repeating tonight, instead of the usual double-bill repeats from earlier seasons ;that's a move that makes no sense to me); CSI:NY S5 and L&O S15 starts tonight; and CSI season 9 starts on Tuesday. (Crime nights are: Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; in that mix five will show various CSIs, L&Os and NCIS; they're adding Numb3rs to that mix now, too.)

I am only talking about this because of the buck in trend. I am aware that no-one that isn't me gives a damn.

I may go back to watching television on the television. I find that I prefer watching CSI that way (the trails for which, by the way, have me totally excited for Tuesday) and I think I might watch CSI:NY that way, too, as I still haven't worked my way around to watching the latest episode of that. I just hope that I don't get sucked back into watching Numb3rs, heh; I tend to sit and watch through to the L&O repeat with my knitting on hand, though I didn't sit through it last night.

I'm also massively tempted to watch NCIS again tonight, despite only having watched it last night. OH SHOW.

I have actual work to do this weekend, huzz. Whilst I was at the centre on Friday, a fair few people came in and signed up for courses and one of them is starting an intro to email course which comes with a booklet. The thing is, the booklet that we've got only deals with one email interface (Yahoo Mail) and so I'm going to sort out equivalents for Hotmail and Gmail. Because I can.

The other thing we're working on is trying to sort out on-line 'seminars'/tutorials. Boss Lady seems quite excited about this but she loses focus very easily so I am less excited. Either way, I need to read The Mother's CLAiT textbook this weekend. Huzz?

Apparently no-one else liked this week's NCIS? I enjoyed it. Self-contained, a-to-b narrative, a couple of gags and a satisfyingly pat ending. Not the best episode we've had, but nothing terrible about it.

I have recently discovered that there are people who hate McGee, which I don't understand in the least. Being indifferent towards him, sure, that I can get, but hating him? What? What?

I liked the NCIS ep too, I just haven't had the time to write anything about it yet. McGee is awesome! <3 *sadly has no McGee icon, something that needs to be remedied right away*

I love your icon - specifically I love that it has Fornell's blurry face in it, lols. (I love Abby anyway.)

I read a couple of reactions this week that were not of yay. What is this?! lols.

I...don't love McGee, not the way I love Abby and Gibbs, but I like him enough, and I thought it was a good ep this week. I don't get hating him.

Wait, wait. This work thing you're doing, is it still the volunteering thing or...? *is completely out of the loop, sorry!*

lols, no, you're not out of the loop at all; still volunteering. But if the thing Boss Lady is working on bears fruit, it might become a Real Job. Doubt it though.

There's new NCIS? Oops. I clearly fail at catching it.

Who can hate McGee? He's a dork, and sometimes I want to slap him, but normally he's fine. NO HATING!

Hee. It is a kindly episode. Well. That's what I thought, anyhow.

How can anyone possibly hate McGee? He's not my favorite, but he's too lovely and sweet to be hated... like a puppy... ;D
I liked this weeks episode, but not as much as most of the others this season. I actually don't know why but somehow it dragged along a bit. Nothing too bad. The only thing I really hated about this episode was the part with the movie, which was stolen from Supernatural. Not very creative, guys. xD

I know, right? But then, I don't really understand character hate for the most part.

...movie?

Well, I can understand character hate, but not on a character like this. xD

Yes, the very beginning, where they were shooting the movie or whatsoever.

Mind boggling.

Oh, that. Heh. That's been used in a fair few shows.

True, but it was almost identical, which just makes me want to slap these writers.xD

...just turned on my phone. I LOVE THAT EPISODE. May watch tonight's repeat :)

No, I was talking about the latest episode to air in the US.

But he's ... MCGEE? There is nothing strong to hate in him! Just let him write his (supposedly wildly popular?) Mary Sue fic and be slight awkward around everyone!

I don't really understand what there is in him to hate? So.

But you might actually *like* Arrow of Time. It was very cinematic. People are calling it lyrical. Srsly

Wait until L&O seasons 18 and 19. They are a true return to form. I dunno, I just have to pimp it out.

I really have nothing else to add.
