ER 11x01

The car? Crap scene. Very poor. Badly contructed, badly filmed etc etc. And Neela, I love you but please, please, please stop whining. You quit. Deal with it.

Good points? Thandie, bien sur. Actually, the scene with the ashes and the french Ecclesiastes. That was lovely. (For those of you on my flist, there are icons). I'm happy for Abby though; she's finally out of the dregs, as it were. About freaking time.

Alias 3x02

Holy crap. Bad bad bad. (Do you think my mood is influencing my opinions?) There was a very sweet scene in the classroom, a bizarre scene with Weiss and Syd in her new digs (OK, so I kinda get why some people ship them but I'm not the greatest Syd/Weiss fan). There was the Sark reunion (cool) and the messed up transfer (which, ok, I liked). Mostly what sucked was the fact that not a lot of shit happened (could have found a better way to bring Sark back) and the ending. Wherein we met Lauren. Oh hell. Dude, what is with your accent? The English DON'T speak like that. They DON'T. Being English, I would know. *facepalm*

Hehehe, Michael Vartan speaking french? So hot cool.

Child of our Time

How much do I love this show? I mean, yes, it's a documentary following a longitudinal study of twenty-fice kids as they grow up but it's so interesting. Very cool.

Miami 1x03 - repeat

Didn't see all of it (because that was the night of doom/glass/whatever) but I wish I had. I liked that episode first time around. I think it's called "Wet Foot/Dry Foot". Very good episode. Kinda pissed that I had to leave the room when mother appeared. (I especially like hearing Megan speak Spanish. No reason. Just do).

L&O: Little & Large (a.k.a. Criminal Intent) 2x01

crouchingmajor saw this on Wednesday (whilst I had to tape it because my sister was watching The Others with Nicole Kidman - more on that later) and told me it was crap. She was VERY wrong.

It was gory - as ever. The mass grave behind the crematorium (yes, Alex, that IS what they're called, not crematory) was completely shudder-worthy. And how do I love Bobby screwing with the hitman's head re: the toothcap? I mean, I guessed but I still loved it. So so soo glad this is back.

Desperate Housewives 1x02

So, on account of gratuitous use of the word 'penis' last week, I had to stop watching in front of my parents and thus missed most of the first episode. (I love you TWoP). But I taped and watched the second episode. I love Felicity Huffman. The series itself is bizarre. Fun, though. Nothing imperative but I'll watch it.

(Still love Felicity).

The Others

Strange movie but Kidman blows the world away with her performance which was weird because I'm not her greatest fan. Moulin Rouge showed skill and I liked Practical Magic (mostly for Bullock - does that count?) but this was really really good. Not scary at all (especially considering I worked out the twist before the film got there - I hate that *headdesk*) but well written and acted and performed. Little girl was a bitch though. I'll have to watch it from the beginning next time.

*sigh* I've done all my work. No, seriously. All of that coursework? Done. I'm bored now. (Ooh, TWW tonight - yay!)
