UGH. So. Am STILL waiting for NCIS - will probably end up watching tomorrow morning. (After our breakfast outing, yay.) Today, The Flatmate and I watched Doctor Who (2x01, New Earth), and X-Files (1x03, Squeeze, and 8x10, Badlaa). Currently I am re-watching NCIS (Recoil) and keeping an eye out for incongruence, or things that aren't easily explained. Because, see, I know a lot of people had trouble with this one. But I'm looking at it, and I can't see the trouble with it. I know that I love Ziva and that will blind me to some things, but really? I'm still not seeing the issue here. In fact, the re-watch has made my initial perspective clearer. So. I don't know. I'm in the middle of writing one disproportionately large post about the season as a whole, and Recoil in particular. I'm waiting for Judgement Day, obviously, because I know that it's going to shake things up in a way that hasn't really happened since Kill Ari (Hiatus doesn't count so much because early S4 is a reset button; that said, never underestimate the impact Hiatus and Shalom have on Jethro and Ziva explicitly, and on Jenny and Tony implicitly).

What wank-ish things have you heard about Recoil? Was it like with Dog Tags, when they though Abby was being OOC? Sometimes when people really like a character they get kind of target blind in regards to the plot or other characters.

I really liked the finale. It was kind of this beautiful, hurtful thing. As if someone showed you your heart and then stabbed you with it. I fail at vague but we should talk after you watch. A lot.

Yeah, lots of the reaction posts I read were about OOCness which made my head spin a little because really? Not OOC at all. (I can buy just about anything as long as the premise for it exists in canon. Which is why the Bones finale sat well with me.)

Stabbing is right. That post is coming (slowly. Because I am verbose).
