Just watched last week's NCIS (am waiting for the finale) and yet again, another example of Jethro meeting the measure of each of the team. (I don't know, though, if this is a Jethro thing per se, or if it's a post-Hiatus/Shalom Jethro thing.)

I know I promised to talk lots about this but I think I'm going to watch Recoil again whilst I'm waiting for the finale. No spoilers, please!

UGH. So. Am STILL waiting for NCIS - will probably end up watching tomorrow morning. (After our breakfast outing, yay.) Today, The Flatmate and I watched Doctor Who (2x01, New Earth), and X-Files (1x03, Squeeze, and 8x10, Badlaa). Currently I am re-watching NCIS (Recoil) and keeping an eye out for incongruence, or things that aren't easily explained. Because, see, I know a lot of people had trouble with this one. But I'm looking at it, and I can't see the trouble with it. I know that I love Ziva and that will blind me to some things, but really? I'm still not seeing the issue here. In fact, the re-watch has made my initial perspective clearer. So. I don't know. I'm in the middle of writing one disproportionately large post about the season as a whole, and Recoil in particular. I'm waiting for Judgement Day, obviously, because I know that it's going to shake things up in a way that hasn't really happened since Kill Ari (Hiatus doesn't count so much because early S4 is a reset button; that said, never underestimate the impact Hiatus and Shalom have on Jethro and Ziva explicitly, and on Jenny and Tony implicitly).
