Nov. 28th, 2006 11:14 amSo, season 7 of Buffy? Totally begins in Istanbul. Why yes, I have made the TOTALLY RANDOM decision to rewatch S7 of BtVS. How did you guess?! For those that care, this re-watching thing feels like a BAD IDEA, serving only to remind me how much Anthony Stewart Head is like SK and how much I really, really dislike Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Way to BADLY HANDLE the Gwen/Owen plot and yet STILL handle it in an okay manner. Confused? I was too.
The show is pants, yes, yes, but there was Tosh this week, even if the story was just SO FUCKING STUPID and DEMEANING to the character. AND SHUT UP IANTO.
I'm looking forward to next week's, though, because INDIRA VARMA is back as SUZIE. This show inspires CAPSLOCK ABUSE ON A MANIC LEVEL.

I loved this episode quite irrationally. I love it when Sorkin plays with temporal realities and when certain things make me gasp and later turn out to be handled really fucking well. I especially liked the reveal of Jordan's pregnancy, even if the whole Matt v. Danny pregnancy thing was REALLY DUMB. That last scene with her on the floor, fucked up and "MAKE SURE SHE DOESN'T GIVE ME THE JAAAAAB!" and Danny walking out, making the realisation off-screen (omg!) and then coming back and KNOWING AND SIMULTANEOUSLY TALKING was just too much for me to handle.
Harriet being unable to tell a joke was hilarious, and the Serious Guy was Made of Awesome, too. The token British character pisses me the fuck off, and I still have a tiny crush on Jack's suit-covered badass self (badass in this show is fairly relative, n'est-ce pas?) Mostly I was pleased because I didn't feel like I was being told what to think and even when I was being told what to think, it didn't matter so much because it was on trivial things.
Alas! No Cal. My love for Timothy Busfield amazes me because I really, really, really hated Danny on The West Wing. But Cal is Made of Awesome.
I'm still watching Seven Swords. It's like the film that will never end and yet it is so good.

Date: 2006-11-28 11:51 am (UTC)Well, mostly a short-haired (bob cut) Stacy (http://auspix.net/stacy_haiduk/photos.php?spgmGal=2004_NCIS_112_-_My_Other_Left_Foot) Haiduk (http://auspix.net/stacy_haiduk/photos.php?spgmGal=2004_NCIS_112_-_My_Other_Left_Foot) with a bit of Katharine Hepburn and a bit of a woman I used to know, called Magda. She was a cello player. (!)
