Last night I had the first dream I've remembered in a very long time. I was pregnant, not really showing so much that I could tell, and the doctor gave me something and told me to contact her when I noticed some spotting of blood. (She was trying to induce labour? Or I'd come in early?) Then I felt two rushes of blood - I'd been clotting, apparently. I was tense throughout the dream, anticipating birth pains that never came.

My parents were involved a little, mostly my mother, and everytime I saw her, I was wondering around the flat about our store. I think that I woke up then, and fell asleep again because then it was a different dream. I was in the same sort of space as the flat above our store, but the lighting was radically different, and this kid was telling me his name, and showing me something. I can't remember what anymore. I think I tried to (a) abandon him or (b) get him to leave. Possibly both. Whatever. Weird.

Today I'm going to watch the second half of Numb3rs and this week's CSI. I apparently have SVU as well? I can't think why I have that.

The cases were for the mill but HEY, THAT'S DAWSON'S DAD WTF? Am I the only person who finds Mac's conflict with Flack not only unsettling but badly timed? I think Flack would cut him a little more slack since, you know, Mac put his hand in HIS CHEST and SAVED HIS LIFE. It feels massively wrong at this juncture. I also never thought of Flack as a Danny figure, and never felt that Mac patronised Don half as much as he did Danny. But apparently Danny is now a street walker SO WHO KNOWS?

The scene with Stella and Mac talking about Reed? LOVE LOVE LOVE. Just as friends, just as her being the one he talks to about it. Love. (I don't think I mentioned it but it mirrors the episode when Stella confesses to Mac that the attack changed her. I love Stella Bonasera.)

Poor Lindsay. They're certainly getting inventive over reasons why she's not being filmed so much.

I really like the Reed Garrett story, and I hope it doens't turn into ohnoes the boy is in trouble and Mac has to decide to help the kid or to help the lab. On a side note, Claire is gorgeous and that image of her - as a brunette, not a blonde as I always thought - makes me think she and Stella would have been fast friends. Which changes my personal fanon but whatever.

Stella. STELLA. I've been having a ball iconning CSI: NY recently and mostly it's because Melina Kanakaredes is beautiful. That look she gives the mother at the end is priceless. The mother, by the way, I think was in NCIS but I can't be certain.

Anyway, I liked the episode. Even if I called the Fed being dead at the end. They've got a lot of hanging stories this season.

I don't know if I like Prentiss but I do know that I don't care that they made her a character who happens to be very book-learned, you know, able to speak Arabic, able to place accents. It frames her as someone who is into linguistics, and has that as her primary skill. Elle was an expert in violent crimes, or sexual abuse crimes. It makes sense to me that Prentiss has a specific skill set and as so far she's been posited as the kind of woman who is trying to get past her parental issues, it makes sense to me that she is over-achieving. Very A-personality. Whatever. I need her to have more dialogue before I give a shit.

Garcia's phonecall to Shemar Moore's character (seriously, my brain is so shot. I can't remember the guy's name) was awesome, and I find I like her interactions with JJ a lot. Reid continues to make me smile LIKE A LOON.

I think everyone guessed the fake out whilst it was happening, but that doesn't bother me. Mostly I was all aflail over HOTCHNER and MRS HOTCHNER and HOTCHNER JUNIOR. Damn, that man. Srsly. Other than that, I don't have anything constructive to say about this episode. Terrorism is old hat, dear.

Yaaaaawn. Which is unfortunately how I feel about most of the CSI cases these days. Two highlights: SARA SO PRETTY OMG and that last scene which makes me nervous; ARCHIE BABY. ILU. !!!

I am disappointed. Warrick was there! Alas, he was not awesome for whatever reason. I can't deal with Catherine at all these days, and whilst Nick singing to Mandy was fucking hilarious (not to mention Hodgin's admission of PEEING ON HIS TUTOR'S DOOR HANDLES WTF) he, too, is boring. Where went the witty repartee? Where went the team connection? THE SCIENCE? They need an episode where everyone is on the same case and they all solve the crime together. Like the one in the airplane! Or Chaos Theory (omgzilu). I miss my show. Sigh.

I think that's it for that. I still have this week's episode to watch.

9 Crimes is on repeat. I love this song! Also, Accidental Babies but right now, 9 Crimes is it for me. OK, time to read.

Stacy Haiduk (Debra Archerson) was, I think, in the NCIS ep My Other Left Foot... 112. I'm too lazy to actually go and verify this.

Is this the one with the red head that Gibbs woos and then her mother turns out to be fantastically scary?

Yes! That's the one! I'm pretty sure, anyway, because there's a leg and then another and-- yes, it is.

Flack? Mac? Conflict? *is not watching this show anymore*

I woke up with 9 Crimes in my head, so I suspect you're not alone in your love for the song right now. I do suspect your play count will exceed mine. ;)

Yeah, last week Flack had to hand over a fellow cop and he got into it with Mac over the deal. There was some fallout this week but it made me sad. I hope it gets tied up soon.

Ha! Yeah, this figures. Although I'm going to be reading in a moment and I need different tracks so that I don't fall asleep.

Garcia/Morgan! /swoons/

I have a series with them and I just polished off a new installment of it today.

That phone call was so great I had a friend make me a clip of it a few minutes ago so I could enjoy it all over again. /sigh/ I love when he calls her 'baby girl' and she cries.

JJ is less annoying around Garcia, but then again I like pretty much any scene Garcia is in.

BTW, Shemar Moore (Damn he's tasty! /grins/) plays the character named Derek Morgan. FYI

Oh and Reid? /loves/ They reran Someone's Watching last night and I had to watch to see Reid kissing in the pool again. I really have to get working on my Charlie/Reid series and my Five Nights series now so I can write some enjoyable Spencer. :-)

Okay, enough CM fawning. I'm working on my Charlie/Oswald fic now. ;-)

One final comment. Damien Rice? /loves/ He's great live too...
