I'm really enjoying listening to these UPenn - Off The Beat tracks. Some are much better than others but they're still lovely to listen to. I got a few from powerof3 but Denz sent me a bunch when she came back from India, of all places. No, the disc wasn't from there but she'd ordered one and it arrived whilst she was in Gujurat.

Oh, also! I totally wrote the hell out of my icaw ficathon assignment yesterday. It was weird; I suddenly realised what I'd been doing wrong. Here's hope I haven't jinxed it. !!! But yes, writing was done and I'm so over the minimum. It's not the best I've ever written, and not only am I still writing it but I'm going back and padding, but I'm relieved. That's what this morning has been allocated to: sorting it out so that by this evening I will be in a position to close it up. Hoo-rah!

The Daddy Long Legs thing is freaking me out as well - in the playground this morning, some of the kids were catching the bloody things IN THEIR HANDS and releasing them in each other's face. That is not human behaviour.

No, I mean all the user images (the little man before the username) have eye-patches, the official lj logo has a bird's nest of some form and if you hover your mouse over it, it says "arrr me mateys". ???

Oh, shudder. I have enough time restraining myself when the things are flying towards me, let alone when someone else is delivering them.
