OK, so Miami didn’t suck so bad. All in all, it was pretty cool. That’s right, for once I’m not HoCaine bitching. This is because yesterday’s Miami was a very special episode that featured a lot of Speed-viewing. Also, plus-point, very little HoCaine and when he was there, he was only mildly irritating. He treated the entire Speed-Wally thing very well; in much the way I wish Griss would deal the Sara thing. Like, go home girl! I mean, I love you and everything but please!

Also, I finally watched this week’s CSI, which also rocked pretty hard. Very little Sara but a good, solid case. Well, not so much solid as ambiguous but still, quite cool. Actually, very cool. I also watched the Dawson’s and realised that it finishes next week! Forever! My weekly teen-angst spot has disappeared! Dear god.

I loved yesterday’s episode so much that I cried. I actually cried. So sad. Yes, I was referring to myself there. I love how Speed isn’t like some of the others; the job is a job, not his life. His back story’s pretty rough: when he came to Miami, he was running away from Syracuse and Megan Donner had faith in him. I love Speedle’s character because he’s just this half-ghost person who you know so little about. He’s completely cynical, he’s completely intelligent and he’s the type of geek who’s cool at it. (Like Warrick). But he doesn’t get psyched by the job in such a way that his head explodes. Instead, he goes home and he comes back to work. That’s why the ending to lat night’s episode was so effective because what HoCaine said to him was true: he did a good job, it wasn’t his fault and now he had to go home, get some shut eye and come back and start over.

HoCaine wasn’t such a freak yesterday. I mean, yeah, he was a freak. I’m not quite sure if her can help it. But on the whole My-Man-Speed front, he rocked. Yes, rocked. He was actually good about it. Still a patronising blow-hard but what he said made total sense. Dude, why can’t you rock this hard all the time? Freak.

Also: Calleigh, ants? Word, dude. Total word.

Note to self: stop using dude. Stop it. Right now. Or your brain will just dissolve.

On a nicely related note, I also watched the second half of Earthquake 10.5 with Kim Delaney. This is, of course, after missing the first half. Crappy graphics but lots of faces I know, 24-style camera shots and high tension. Loved it.

Now I have to go hurt myself. I actually praised HoCaine!
