In other news, I wrote a poem for LTC1 today, in Modern English but the Anglo-Saxon style. 'Twas interesting. I'm now going to listen to music and read. I've so behind on White Noise, it's not even funny. And I'm reading Heaney's version of Beowulf (why is it that of all the translations I've read, Heaney wasn't one of them?!)

Later, I will hopefully have a snippet of some SNatural fic to post. I don't know though, so don't hold your breath or owt.

I've personally always liked Heaney's translation. It's pretty close to the original text (Hwæt we Gar-Dena in geardagum etc.) You can't go wrong with a bit Anglo-Saxon epic. So much better than the Celtic equivalent. Hey, post the poem some time, I'd be interested in seeing it.

Haha, I did post it; 'tis up at tja_rama. Not my best but it fits the rules, mostly.

Yeah, I've read a couple of other translations, although if you ask me right now, I'd never be able to tell you whose they were. But I'm a beowulf fan, and Heaney's version looks apt, if you catch my drift. Should be good!

I'm online at the moment on the pretence of snagging some more tunes to listen to whilst I work. Before I go insane listening to the same three albums. Ask away m'dear, my MSN is playing up since I foolishly downloaded the latest version (idiot!) but I'm loitering on AIM at the mo.

I have started a fanfic. It was originally for an Original Character challenge but it actually just helped to kick start a fic that's been rolling around my skull for a fortnight.

But.

My writing always needs curbing and editing. I need to know if it's worth continuing. It's about 500-520 words, if you can help out sometime when you're not busy?

(What kind of tunes? Maybe I can help).

As for the tunes, nothing particular. At the moment I'm just snagging some Clann Zú tracks. Other than those though I'm sort of grabbing a few at random. Broadening my horizons and all that.

Haha your icon amuses me, it makes me think of a text message I sent to Paige last night:

I read it and was like wow, I'm a moron!
