+ I truly, truly love the new cast but that doesn't mean I don't sometimes miss the original. Mostly I think the stories from the original cast would have skewed for a slightly older audience and I wouldn't have objected to that even in the slightest.
+ I adore George, too, but of the three I find him the least interesting

YES. They basically dropped the whole Ari thing, which really annoys me. There's so much possibility there. I wish we could see some of it explored onscreen and not in fanfic.

Yeah, I also read some strange opinions by these shippers (but generally this is somehow the only ship I don't enjoy at all, which is strange because with NCIS I'm far more open-minded about ships than with every other Fandom and I read basically everybody/everybody except Gibbs/Ducky)

Also word on Ziva being one of the most amazing femal characters ever.

On the one hand I also don't miss Elle very much, mainly because Emily is simply great and Elle simply left to soon to become really interesting but I quite enjoyed her relationship with Morgan, sometimes it reminded me of a (very light version) of Tony/Ziva. The show soon focused on Morgan/Garcia but he has some nice scenes with Elle especially in the beginning Fisher King.
For Gideon it's somehow difficult for me, I liked him a lot when I started watching in the middle of the second season but when I rewatched everything I soon was like 'Oh my God. He's creepy. Why didn't I notice that before?' (well and then came Rossi, and I totally fell in love with this character...)

i just watched all the newest episodes of bsg a couple of weeks ago and i had totally forgotten about the whole six/tigh/baby situation. weirded me out all over again.

and i've been re-watching pushing daisies on itv and i totally agree - i love chuck but she's been annoying me so much. i guess this time round i just noticed that ned is constantly under pressure to change who he is for her. and yes it's nice that she's sometimes changing him for the better but COME ON. it just becomes a little too much.

In Spooks, I find my capacity for rewatching Ros pales over time. I dislike Harry quite a lot, quite often. I too wish Spy!Gran was coming back. I would rather watch a spinoff with the older generation than the frankly risible Code 9 bunch of wet smacks.

Being Human: agree, 100%. This show has quite possibly one of the best managed character dynamics of all time. Each of the three is enriched and exposed by their relationship(s) to the other(s).

I agree with you on almost everything, especially about Riley. She's a total meaningless character to have on the show and John has been a whining baby since the beginning of S2, at least in my opinion. I watch the show because of Sarah and especially Cameron.

re: slash, it's a reaction I have with slash-OTP-heavy fandoms sometimes. I ship everyone on that show, Merlin/Arthur is no exception (they're so adorable on screen, y/y?) but I get frustrated by the lack of variation. I understand why it's like that, and I'm not surprised by the trend - I expected it, actually - but it still bugs me sometimes. Short instances where I get very angry about it.

I was reading some crit somewhere about how anti-feminist the show is and whilst I could see how the author was making those points I didn't agree with them in the least. I think the show does a great job with the girls, but I saw a wall of disagreement.

I find the emo!John annoying and unfortunately I feel like we see more of that John than the one who is making the hard decisions etc. I think the Riley plot was a mistake, or at least could be better handled.

I agree. I'm not sure how much I agree with the second point (healthier fit), perhaps I'm just blinded by the fact that Mac/Stella are my ultimate OTP of all time.

I'm starting to hate the show. I'm not sure if hate is the right word, but they're all driving me nuts, the writing isn't as strong, it all seems so much more staged and contrived and nothing yells "this is a beautiful, fun, clever NEW YORK CITY show and it will steal your soul and hold it captive in a cute little blue-tinted box" anymore.

Yes, all of these things. If Ruth never comes back, that's fine -- I just wish they would find her a suitable replacement who doesn't get killed/turn out to be evil. And I wish we could have Danny back. I know it was David Oyelowo's decision to have him killed, buuut I sometimes wish the writers had overruled him, just injured Danny, and Danny had quit out of disillusionment.

AAAH this makes me so happy! This is exactly the way I feel. I think a lot of people like Eric due to the books, but not having read beyond the first one (which I didn't find all that enjoyable compared to the tv series) his appeal still eludes me. I also don't understand the animosity for Sookie/Bill. I think they're precious.
