Soooo. You know how sometimes I get kind-of-then-incrementally-more-until-finally-weirdly-madly interested in a celeb (which, if they are female, tends to be a prelude to full-blown obsession; I don't really understand that sex divide, but whatever)?

Yeah. Hi there, Adrien Brody.

I. do. not. know.

Oh gosh, today turned out to be so crazy busy, mostly because Boss Lady's son has been sick this week so since Wednesday I've been the only 'tutor' who has been in all of the classes. I practically swam in because the footway between my house and D continues to be absolutely useless. I came in, returned some calls, printed and bound some workbooks (seriously, if I had known it was that easy, I wouldn't have paid someone an exorbitant amount to do it with my dissertation), set up the computers and then juggled three students who were having issues with: using the mouse, using MS Word, and using the printer. At around 11am one of the Centre's trustees came through with a handful of pay packets which didn't have receipts so I then spent a chaotic half hour trying to issue receipts, write compliment slips, deal with the students, and also booking two new students who decided to walk in during the busiest thirty minutes of the day. Aie.

During 'lunch' I went to post the compliment slips and found that some berk had stuffed a CATALOGUE in the nearest post box, so I ended up walking to the other end of the street and posting the letters in the box outside The Rents' store. This was bad mostly because I forgot to take my woollen jacket/cardigan thing with me and it was fucking freezing. This was also good because it meant I could pick up some food without having to pay for it. I spent 15 minutes talking to one of the staff (a truly lovely woman who works for us c.8 hours a week) and then quick marched back to the Centre.

The afternoon was spent dealing with the group we affectionately refer to as the 'Silver Surfers'. One of the guys was a regular who has slowly been working through the Office 07 program, and there was a young woman who wanted to get to grips with word processing. Then there was a gentleman who'd been to the digital photography class and couldn't remember where on his hard drive he'd saved his photos (answer: My Pictures). I then spent a lot of time trying to teach various people the difference between delete and backspace. This is my life, guys.

Got home, baked, started to read The Secret History, watched Bones, argued with The Mother and The Sister, watched more Bones, watched NCIS (the one with Gibbs' third wife. I watched most of it with the sound muted but I still love it. All the women are SO FIERCE) and then sat down to bitch about my day. Oh LJ, how you love me.

Idk, I'm regressing? I'm back to wearing my hair in two plaits/braids.

No, but really, Bones. I kind of loved it? This show is basically a procedural and yet the two most recent episodes dedicated whole sections to A CIRCUS ACT and A HOCKEY GAME WHAT and lots of insinuations that Booth and Brennan are a couple. No, really.

Other things that I liked: poor Hodgins, who kept getting upstaged; the two intern-y guys (The Brit and The Cute One); CAM. Guys, Cam is so badass. I love her. Like. A lot. A LOT. And I also covet both her figure and her wardrobe. Truth.

Shut the fuck up, Sienna Miller.

Do you know who else is badass? EMILY FUCKING PRENTISS. You bet your balls. Other languages? Check. Cognitive interview? Check. Hot Cop, Bad Cop? CHECK. (What do you mean there were other people in the episode?)

Thank you! When is her episode, huh? Because she can blow everyone else out of the water with her subtle acting.

Isn't Melissa Leo gorgeous? I want her to win the Oscar so badly.

I cannot wait for the day PagBrew gets to showcase. We've talked about this before, but: YES. Just yes.

Oh, she's so beautiful. I don't give a rat's ass about the Oscars as a whole this year, but I really, really want her to win.

These women. Goshdarn, I love them.
