I don't think I will ever tire of using my old school icon.

That was perfectly paced. Perfectly. Storytelling over theatrics; great plot; amazing resolution. Some great character pieces, too. And SPYING! Breaking into houses! Tracking suspects! Decrypting encrypted files!

I have nothing bad to say, actually. I liked Adam; I loved Jo and Ros; I love the new guy (he knew Tom! Which I was wondering just as he brought it up, lols). Harry's anger was a wonderful thing, and Ros. Oh my. Rosalind Myers. Fuck yes. Use those thigh muscles, woman. (The reunion was kind of wonderfully understated? Oh god, oh god.)

And for those that didn't notice: ROS KILLED THAT MAN WITH A FORK. A FORK.

Oh show. Oh brilliant. I feel like this post fails to accurately convey a/ my IMMENSE relief and/or b/ just how much I loved ALL of it. ALL OF IT. !!!!!

I was tempted to make a post that was purely !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, but rambled instead.

TOM, YAY. ROS, YAY, JO, ALIVE, YAY.

I can feel a rant coming on about how everyone else dies and never gets mentioned, but Adam, oh no, we have rto get REVENGE because he's so speshul.

However I think this will also be an unpopular fannish opinion.

Also: WHY was Ros still in love with Adam? WHY, show?

I'm really looking forward to recapping. It may need a warning for cheering at Adam's death, though.

lols, like we haven't had those before. !

When Ros demanded to go to where Adam was I was very much, "...oh, please" about the whole thing. But, fuck it, he's gone and we don't have to deal with his bs any more.

Well, yeah. :D

Oh, and I'm glad Jo's back but I wish it had been for herself and not because of him.

I almost posted with the title DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD, and then I thought a) spoiler, and b) someone would probably think I meant Ros (I'm surprised by how many people dislike her, still, and yet will give Adam a pass)

Oh, I know! And I don't really understand where that comes from. I mean, in other fandoms the slash/het/gen ratio is pretty heavily skewed, but in ours it's not, so it always takes me by surprise.

Also, sorry to bring this up in two places but I just realised that the user might read my comment in your lj: but is the spoiler policy unclear?

IDK, it's weird. I wonder if people see Ros is being too manufactured as superspy (which is my problem with Adam).

TBH I've had comments from people about how great Adam's arc is and how much of a hero he is and I just end up speechless. I can present them with x occasions of him doing something wrong/selfish/stupid, and they just go la la la can't hear you. Which, fine, I know, it's only a tv show, but extend that same logic to Ros, then.

Well, I think it reads fine - makes sense to me. As I've said in my lj, we've always been very hot on spoilers, and I think that's a good thing.

(although thinking about it now, if you did start watching on s6/7, you'd probably see an R/H icon and just wonder who that woman was...)

OK, I can see that being an issue (being too good at what she does). I'd argue her case is different from Adam's, but I'm probably way too biased, heh.

Adam doesn't have an arc. He has a series of issues interrupted by other actors' pregnancies.

Yeah, there's that too; I guess the worry is more about people who start at the top and work their way up to S6/7. Oh well: pretty much sorted now.

Oh man, ME TOO. That poor child. (And the hug! Like he kind of knew it was coming?)

(We have two working theories! One, Wes grows up to be a super spy! Two, Wes grows up to be a super terrorist. The therapy alone, oy.)

Too bad Kachimov is dead, because: flash forward to the future, "My name is Wes Carter. You killed my father. PREPARE TO DIE."

(I think he becomes a spy.)

Most of fandom is backing Ros these days - which is great because that woman is fierce.

and yet she seems fragile at times. She hides behind her fierceness (is that a word?). I have liked her from the beginning
