NCIS, 6x02, Agent Afloat.

Oh, oh, oh, my show continues to be absolutely darling. I'm pretty certain all the Gibbs/Dinozzo fans are going to be going gaga over all the staring Dinozzo was doing. Plus: his pin-ups of Ziva (lols), Abby's eagerness to see him again, and Gibbs (& Ziva) (& McGee)'s desire to get him back. that last scene, where they're all talking together? So wonderful. And Gibbs! Shaking Tony's hand! Saying he fits! Oh gosh.

Also, Ziva made this zany implication that possibly she didn't want to come back from Israel, omg. I think that there's some implication that she wanted to stick around for someone, but it makes sense that she missed home, too.

So many other delightful things! Ziva's hair! Back on a carrier! Jethro holstering his weapon unexpectedly! Leon Vance still being kind of awesome! McGee and Abby being illegal! Abby's nuns! JETHRO SMILING A LOT!

Omigosh, you guys, I LOVED IT SO MUCH. !!!!

Criminal Minds, 4x02, The Angel Maker. Back in action, whoop whoop!

Everyone was marvellous. The case was really tightly held together, especially considering how loose the premiere was, and it also managed to feature lots of steganography which is fantastic. Code in plain sight! Reid the human computer! (I loved that scene where he was all, it's easier to do by hand! and then Emily pokes him to see if he's real. !!!!) Emily the astrologer! (Of COURSE she's the astrologer. I bet she's up on her mytharcs, too.) (You've never been in love, have you? and then no time for a real reaction shot. Oh, EMILY.) The plot was easily the best part of the episode, because everyone got to do their jobs so competently. The plot led to solid characterisation which I'm always up for.

That said: what is with Derek being the go-to gun guy now? Was it always this way? Plus: AJ Cook is pregnant. JJ is pregnant. What's with all the bump obscuring?

Anyway, a great, great episode. And next week's should be even better. SO BRILLIANT. (Insert four exclamation points here.) (OMIGOSH.)
