  • 20:49 Home PC hasa trojan of some sort (slow; popups all over dodge); am waiting on Norton's support thingy #
  • 21:56 Nortons = needlessly expensive. Found spyware & removed it myself. Also found freeware for cleaning registry. Hopefully that's sorted now. #
  • 21:58 Needless to say, I missed CSI (and therefore Liev Schreiber's amazing debut as Michael Keppler). SIGH #

Sorry if I am that direct (and I hope I do not offend you) but I think that Norton is total shit... I had it before and I got so many viruses and trojan horses and my computer that it was horrible.. somehow this program is not working that well.

I suggest trying Kaspersky if you want, it is really good. And if finds everthing.

Ha! Not at all offended. I know a lot of people feel that way.

I find that Norton is great for staying on top of the really big viruses and what have you and its support system is really good. But they don't cover spyware so well, which was the issue we were facing on the home PC. But I've worked that out now, too.

We used to use freeware on the home PC but I much prefer using Nortons for that these days. So unless it totally fucks up with a virus, I think it's easier for my parents and my sister to take care of it, you know? They're not really tech savvy and they'd rather have this than something else.
