The robes must not be... what? Why? What will they do, defect?

Also, eep much! I can' believe you're graduating. Holy fuck.

I know! Also, considering we have to give them back immediately after the ceremony, I... I don't really understand what the point of that stipulation was. Why would you take them out of the country?

Holy fuck is concurrent with my entire life right now.

Give them back on the same day or the next day? Maybe they had had some previous cases of students going a bit, ahem, overboard with the partying. I mean, some of my bro's friends were once having a bit of a night out in Oulu and ended up waking up in Helsinki (that's something like 700 km in distance), so you never know.

*hugs* I hope you're not panicking too much. When's the ceremony?

Same day; and you pay for any damages incurred (unless you buy them but: no thanks). Haha, yeah, I don't think I'll be going anywhere. Am trying to convince my parents that we should stay at my cousins' house overnight so t can go for a post-Graduation meal with my housemates and their families, but it's proving to be a tough sell.

*hugs* Thank you; no, I'm not. Not yet. Mostly because I'm done with all the important stuff (um, until results which is 20June but I'll be home by then) and I'm sorting out my books/clothes/DVDs and job-related boring things. Also, graduation is 24July, and I have a family wedding to go to before that so there are other things to be busied with.

By the by, I'm guessing the job-with-training-in-Germany thing turned out to be unsuitable? What are you up to nows, anyhow? I

So, are you leaving Soton for good or just for the summer?

The Germany thing didn't really take off. I didn't even send in an application because in the end, I got a really... iffy feeling about the company. I mean, they wouldn't even reply to simple questions re: the position, so I didn't feel I could trust them. If they had been a Finnish company, I might have taken the chance, but as it was, I wasn't willing to start dealing with the possible hassle of trying to sort out problems internationally.

For good! Heading back to DG for... well. I don't know. I've been looking at job listings today but god, they are all either super scary or super deathly. (Or, you know, I'm not qualified.) So. That's going superbly.

Yeah, and that's only an added hassle. Well, I was just curious :) What have you been up to since the email you sent that I have yet to reply to (!!! sorry)?

(DG?) Looking for jobs is hella scary, especially at your (our?) stage when you know that you should be looking for something like a career move instead of just that ol' familiar and comfortable waitress/cashier/whatever job. *hugs* Good luck with that. Just remember that the idea of doing something outside of what you used to know is most likely only scarily difficult as an idea and turns out being much less intimidating when you get down to it.

:) I always have great ideas about everything and then end up not doing them. That's me. Anyway, I've sort of decided that maybe I don't want a job after all this summer. I've got my student funding sorted for the summer, and frankly, I haven't really had the summer off since I was fourteen so I sort of thought, sod it, I deserve this. Do email me soon! Remember, you still haven't send me that one bit of info re: Murphy's Law DVDs exchange. Unless you've changed your mind and do want them back after I'm done with them, which is still perfectly a-okay with me.

Re: Regina track. ...Yeah. It's a pretty song, but it lacks that bit of Regina magic, you know? Even in the lyrics. Sadface, Bad Cop, sadface indeed.

(Hee: home. Deeping.) Well, exactly. I'm also really conscious that I want to go back to uni in a couple of years, so that's making me a bit cautious. I don't know. I just need to get a job, yo. lols.

You DO deserve a summer! You've been working up a storm. I hope that your summer is more summer and less storm. Um. Yes. Haha, yeah, I'm part through an email. The thing is, I wrote you a letter which I never sent so now I feel like I'm repeating myself. Which I'm not. Because you never got that letter. *headdesk* And I'll send you the stuff re: Murphy's Law. By the by, did I send you my copy of Sunshine? It's this beautiful, slighty crazy space thriller film that I was sort of obsessed with when it came out. I meant to add that to the last package but I can't remember if I did or if I lent it to someone else? Hmmm. (Also, lols, I can't believe this is turning into this kind of comment, but: did I send you Insomnia? It's a collection of short stories.)

I can work out why it's so... not her (because if it's a soundtrack comission, then she has to hit the middle road). But STILL. Mopeface!

*waves pompoms* You can do it! Yes, you can!

Yeah, I got Sunshine. I've heard many good things about it so I've looking forward to the time when I get off my arse and actually watch it. *G* (What is this DVD fatigue I've been having lately, I do not know.) Insomnia was in your package as well. Which reminds me, do I have any books/DVDs/something on loan from you that you'd want back? Because I was cleaning my bookshelf the other day and realised that I have tons of stuff of which I'm not sure where they came from and whether or not I should even have them.

I'm hoping this is indeed just a soundtrack thing and not her future style. Because I'm already missing the classical influences. I don't want to be missing more.

And that, lads and ladies, was my personal cheer squad :)

Huzzah! Well, I recommend watching it (a) at night and (b) when your mind is clear. Just because it's so... *hand gestures* Yes, yes. re: returns, hmm, no. Only Sunshine when you're done with it. (I have found the same thing now that I'm clearing my shelves - as well as a handful of books that I shoul sit down and read already, heh.)

I think it has to be; I mean, it's radically different from the stuff on Begin to Hope which, whilst terribly overproduced, still had the old Regina at its roots.

edit: I hate this new layout I'm playing with but I can't find the codes that I was using before! Sigh.

Oh, okay, good. I think they must be from the sisters, then. I too have loads of books in my shelf that I've never read, lol. I just buy things that sound good and then never get around to reading them. Also, I've found that lately I've been really reluctant to pick up books. Strange.

Speaking of Regina, have you heard of any new stuff coming out anytime soon?

Re: edit. Heh, I was wondering what was going on there. Are you trying to figure out some specific problem? (Gah, which reminds me, I should finally finish my own coding.)

It must be the post-academia, prospect-of-a-break fatigue. I have plenty of things to do that I usually do when I'm procrastinating... but now that I've got nothing to really procrastinate about, I find that other things lack appeal. If it dries up, I might go for another long walk.

Haven't heard anything, no. Not even leaked demos or anything, sigh. But the Narnia soundrack-ness suggests that she's working on it? I guess?

I saw it, I liked it, I used it, I edited it, and then I noticed a whole slew of thing that I dislike about it. I've changed it to something else now (obviously) and am fiddling with that. I figure if I'm going home, I can have a full-on fandom-based layout \o/

Must be that. Plus the summer. I've spent the past three or so weeks sitting at home watching TV or roaming the streets just because it's sunny. We went to sit in the park with the Sis on Sunday and did absolutely nothing, and it was marvelous. And really? I don't want to be doing anything else right now.

Maybe, maybe. I think she's still touring on Begin to Hope, so maybe she's not working on new material yet. Who knows. But I did find some tracks I've never heard before! These might be old though (Rejazz, Back of a Truck etc. Ever heard?). EDIT: Oh yeah, these are old, from some of her "demo" albums before Gravediggers.

Heh, well good luck with that. It's always like that w/ layouts, I find.

GUH. I was doing that the whole week after I finished my dissertation. The weather was divine and the city park is beautiful. Aw. Yay for smelling the roses or whatever that phrase is.

Touring! Which I would track down except I am trying to save up to go to the continent in September. Yeah, those are older. I hve Rejazz; don't know about Back of a Truck.

Currently I am mixing different codes (haha, I'm such a cheat) but I still can't work out why my comment font size is so small. So. Yeah. I will be trawling through code. Smashing! Not really!

It is truly fantastic not worrying about studies or anything for awhile. I'm sure I'll get bored of this soon, but for now... Meh.

It a US tour, I think. Why are you going to the continent? Yeah, these tracks are from 11:11, apparently. Never heard these before. They're surprisingly... poptastic.

What style are you using?

Well, I envy you (= the rain has not let up = no walk).

I get the sense that, wonderfully, she goes with whatever genre is with her at the moment. re: tour, well, that's okay then. I don't have to agonise over missing her, lols! I want to come over to mainland Europe for a week or two. I haven't been on a vacation - not even a couple of days - since I was 15, so. I don't know. Am seriously thinking about doing a small trip. A sort of YOU ARE OF AGE GO LIVE NOW thing.

Flexible squares. Am using all my code-fu and a style guide but, whatever. I think I'm going to leave it as is for now. I'm going to change it once I have a header I want to use.

Hahaa, I love your philosophy. You should really do this stuff whilst you're still YOUNG and FREE and all that jazz.

Ah. You know of this, I presume. Just in case, though, linkety link.

Exactly! And then you should do it again when you are AGED and KNEELESS.

Yeah, lols, that's what I'm using! I love that freaking thing. I makes my life much easier. (I say that like I spend every! hour! coding! when in reality all I usually do is change the colours and add a new header, haha.)

LOL! Exactly, exactly.

I love that these things exist, for the most popular styles at least. They do make life so much easier because who the hell could guess what goes where.

I am a bit in awe of the people who sort them out because (a) omg, how do you know all of that? and (b) omg, must take a long, long, long, long time. Ohemgee abounds!

What to do next: brave the weather or watch X-Files? You see these large and life changing decisions I have to make?

OK, I think I'm going to head to the store and come back in about half an hour. Haha, I'd better remember to turn off my messaging thingies otherwise people get HAUGHTY and ANNOYED and kind of WHY WON'T YOU TALK TO ME ZOMG I HATE YOU when actually, they're just ranting at thin air. (Gosh. Do people ever have the most ridiculous entitlement issues! Aie.)

Enjoy your down time, yo!

I know! It's like... I wish I could offer them a vital organ or something in return. ...Um, you know what I mean.

Heh, oh the decisions, the decisions.

I've long since given up on any messaging things for that very reason. Also, random twinnage moment, I was just heading off to the store myself. So, see you later!

You enjoy your (hopefully!) chilling as well!
