So, yeah, watched Klimt last night. Anybody remember how I went from "Thandie Newton, aw, yay" to "THANDIE NEWTON ZOMG YAYS!!1!" in, like, a day? Well. Yeah. HAI THAR SAFFRON BURROWS. So fabulous! I've always liked her but just in a, 'oh, Saffron Burrows! Yes' sort of way. New levels of obsession, guys. Not that she is eclipsing my Thandie-love (just as my Thandie-love often feels more transient than my love for Michelle Yeoh) but watch out: new girl on the block.

I just used the word 'transient' in a post about my fannish stalker-type love. Man.

Rice Krispies are fantastic! (No, really. Crunch-crunch!)

Back to Klimt - it's so odd! And yet quite engaging until about the last quarter in which I began to get a little bored. But other than that I liked it. And I love Burrow's showcase scene, obviously. OBVIOUSLY.

I watched Battlestar and was fairly agape about the whole deal. Guys! This show! Insert my flailing here! (Oh, for coherency. ...nope.)

I have this thing where I want to go and see a ballet. Like. NEXT WEEK. PLEASE. I think about it a lot - whether it's feasible time- and money-wise. Which. It's really, really not. I don't have the time or the money or the know-how to get this done properly and still hand in my work. My work which, really, is grating on me a little. (We've got extra classes scheduled this coming week to make up for the ones we're missing because of the Bank Holiday; great timing there - the Friday prior to deadline weekend.) But. SOMEONE TAKE ME TO THE BALLET PLEASE. (I'm fairly certain that once I've actually seen one I will just GET OVER THIS ALREADY. But. Yeah.) Probably time to re-watch Song of the Earth on youtube. Darcey Bussel's farewell performance! Aie aie aie. (Also awesome is Carlos freakin' Acosta. Just. WOW.)

I couldn't sit through all of Klimt because Malkovich's voice makes me squirm, but Saffron Burrows and Stephen Dillane were gorgeous in it. :) Those same three actors will be in Raoul Ruiz's next film, Love and Virtue.

I recently read a comment that said something like, Malkovich is one of those actors where it's always Malkovich on screen, not the character, and I think that's quite true.

Ah, yes - I was going to mention that to you after your John Adams picspam (!!! Rufus Sewell! Smashing!) but your next post had the info anyway. I'm quite excited about Love and Virtue; Burrows, Dillane, Peter O'Toole and Damien Lewis. Marvellous!

My flailing over BSG knows no bounds, as well. :)

Ah, ballet. I would also like to see one which I'm not featured in or have to practice the movements to. There isn't anything worthwhile around here though, and even if there were I doubt I would have the time to go to one (because I like going with other people to these things and not everyone is free when I am which, boo to that).

I know, my housemates aren't into it, either. A friend of mine back home would go with me but we're both so far away.
