{ gravity, it got you good. }
Apr. 26th, 2008 09:34 amApparently walking back and forth from the library AND up and down five flights of stairs a handful of times is actually pretty good exercise. I was going to head to the library today, too, but I think I'll go later. Right now I want to enjoy the Saturday morning sun.

This picture is a pretty accurate summation of my life right now.

Yeah.

Postcards that y'all have sent recently - thank you to everyone who sent something. It's much appreciated. I love reading what you all write, too, lols. As you can see, I've just been pushing them into the display board; once I decide how I want them arranged, I'll pin them properly.

Haha, also: that's my Golden Compass calendar up there, and two of my favourite prints. (I freaking love that Vermouth Bianco print.)

It's my cousin's 18th this weekend (and another cousin's 26th today); I sent a card off earlier this week. Except The Dad tells me they're going for a meal. If it was in N, then I could go because that's only half an hour north of here, but it's in Wembley, and I can't get that far. So. So once again my family with be a-gathering and I'll be sat here.

The Flatmate is at her dad's this weekend; they're going to a football match. N and T are still here but I think they're going out. Their German friend from the first year is here checking out Brighton, so they're going with her. I think T is wound a little tight this week (she and the friend used to date), so hopefully the trip will be good news all round.

Damn, has the weather ever been gorgeous in the mornings this past week. We've had some ridiculous rain around midday, but other than that, just beautiful.
--
I watched Grey's Anatomy and Bones last night - much needed TV yays, the latter especially. I'm apparently shoring up NCIS and Numb3rs because I've got two episodes to watch, and no inclination to do so.
I'm also supposed to be reading The Tortilla Curtain but that plan isn't going so well, mostly because I'm finally doing those top 5s.

Is anyone else following the story about the lost flying priest?

Date: 2008-04-26 10:51 am (UTC)It's so pretty; I love the stuff she sends. And I just remembered - that cut-out duck is from you, aw.
This priest was trying to raise money by flying with 1000s of helium balloons attached to him. Except they've lost him.

Date: 2008-04-27 10:04 am (UTC)It is! I hadn't seen that on there.
Balloons?? That's awesome, but crazy, and now: tragic. When you first said "flying priest", I was reminded of the LOST storyline.

Date: 2008-04-27 10:13 am (UTC)Haha, oh yeah. Weirdness! But yeah, they found some of his balloons, but not him. Apparently he has food and drink to last about 5 days but it's been a week now, and no news! I am worried about Flying Priest!

Date: 2008-04-27 03:48 am (UTC)They are all so beautiful! Your camera takes lovely images too. Is the Vermouth Bianco image a postcard? Er, a very, very large postcard? It's very cool!

Date: 2008-04-27 06:40 am (UTC)No, the Vermouth Bianco is a half-poster/'print'. I had it on my door last year. Now I have it on the wall, lols. It's gorgeous, though.
