MMMMM, CRUMPETS. Yum.

Hey, I've seen this episode of Band of Brothers. This is because contrary to my belief, there are ten episodes in the series, not twelve. Thus, I'm now on the last two episodes which are the only two I remember from my first viewing.
I think once I have finished I will have to go back to the beginning and watch the whole thing again. It's intense and moving, and not as manipulative as I originally thought it would be.

M = headcase. I may have flipped out a little at about 3am.

Date: 2008-01-29 04:01 pm (UTC)I received the DVDs for Christmas and have been forcing my roommate to watch it with me.
And in my opinion, it's worth watching it again once you're really familiar with the characters. Not only does it help you to appreciate early characterization, but it facilitates squee-age when your favourite characters show up early on.
... or that may just be me. Um. x_o;

Date: 2008-01-29 06:13 pm (UTC)This program should be a staple for history classes. I learned more with these 12 episodes than in my entire war unit.
There's no manipulation at all. That's what I love about it. It's showing that war was absolute hell for everyone involved, no matter what side a person was on. Ordinary people in extraordinary situations. It's beautiful.
