First off: everyone likes yummy, easy-to-make food, yes? Excellent. Because [livejournal.com profile] wliberation has set up a food blog specifically for your cooking needs. Relatively easy food on a relatively tight budget. On top of that, [livejournal.com profile] wliberation is also somewhat spectacular with those quick-fix ingredients that students so often need. Don't have an ingredient? She can normally find you something else that fits. So, check out the new comm:

UGH. So, [livejournal.com profile] snowpenguin545 have been talking about femslash - as we so often do - and I just remembered this SVU fic I read years a go (literally; it was just after I'd started my LJ) which was Alex/Abbie Carmichael, Alex/Olivia, and Abbie possibly gives Alex a wooden box of some sort. Does anyone recognise this ridiculous description? Can people who are in the know please ask around?

Anyway, this led to another decision: I need to write Abbie Carmichael fic.

Eventually, I too shall have Yuletide recs to post. Yayarms.

I HAVE WIRE IN THE BLOOD TO PIMP. To everyone who said I'd love this: YOU WERE RIGHT. Crime! Drama! Slightly odd psychologist! Mostly down-to-earth police detective! HERMIONE NORRIS who laughs and then, totally deadpan, says things like, "That's not funny." !!!

Also, also, also: zomg, Murphy's Law. OH MY GOD. (I haven't seen this in forever. I missed the last two series, aie.) SO. EXCITED. Guys, there may even be picspam. Restrain yourself, folks.

In other news, I thought this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special was a bit shit. That said, I'm excited about the new series (DONNA!) and I will be rewatching The Runaway Bride shortly. "POCKETS!"

--

Apparently, at 4pm, there will be season 1 Numb3rs on my telly. I think that I will haul myself downstairs to watch. It's late S1 - the episode with the missing tankers of nuclear waste? Je suis sort of excited. If I remember to go down. Which I totally might not.

--

Hahaha, related to Murphy's Law - I went to bed at around 3am, and woke up around 8am when the postman rang the bell. This is not a push-button bell, you actually have to ring the fucker. And no-one answered, and I was half-asleep so I didn't really register... until he forced something through the postbox. M's thought-process? *Clang*— post. Bell.... SHIT PACKAGE. So I throw myself out of bed, run downstairs, unlock the door, run out in the cold (in my jammies!) and there is no postman. Fuck, fuck, fuck. So I rush to the front door, and I find the package there! He left it there instead of making me haul ass to the post office! Fabulous!

Brought package into the house; promptly went back to bed. \o/

Wire in the Blood = BEST SHOW EVER. Seasons four and five are not as good because they are without Carol, which is très detrimental, but the first three seasons are excellent.

I've got the boxset of the first two seasons, and I'm nearly finished, woe! But it is excellent.

Hi there! You have no idea who I am, but I wandered this way after reading some of your fanfic, and when I saw we had a gazillion things in common, I thought I'd friend you.
Also, now that I see you're a Wire in the Blood fan too, it's clear you're made of awesome. :)

Hi! I think I've seen you around, actually. Possibly Jack/Irina fanfiction? Anyway, hello.

I've just been turned onto the show because of Hermione Norris, but I LOVE it! It's so dark but quietly humorous at times. Fabulous.
