Went to town today, bought a couple of presents and some wrapping paper; realised that one of my gifts may not turn up in time, and also that Virgin Megastores no longer exist (which, seriously: Branson decides to sell some shares and now a brand disappears? I was more than a little confused). Also bought something for The Mother for Christmas (apparently we've bought The Dad some leather belts? I don't know).

My secondary school's librarian, Mrs. J, died last week. She was quite a strict person, but she was lovely to me and my friend. When the library shut down during term for stock checks, Mrs. J would let us work in there because we were quiet. And when I left the school, she let me take books out on my sister's card because she knew she could trust us. She had a wonderful sense of humour, and her death has come as something of a surprise. Her memorial service is on Thursday but I'm going in to see SK. I don't know how comfortable I'd feel at the local church, anyway, but still. It's strange how people affect you. It really isn't my school anymore.

Zavvi! That's the name! I couldn't remember, lol. I don't mind it so much; it's just so odd.

Me too, sweetie. She was a nice person.

I'm sorry to hear about Mrs. J. She sounds like such a nice lady.
