Is your fic successful if:

1. you don't like it, but many people like it?
   
2. you like it, and many people like it?
   
3. you like it, but no-one else gives a damn?
   

Alternatively:

1. is feedback essential to your writing process?
   
2. do you not give a flying flip about feedback?
   

And will you whore for feedback?(i.e. make posts when you aren't getting it?)
