Um.

I'm pretty certain the house next door is on fire? There's smoke, and it smells like it's burning.

But I can't worry about this now because there's a leak in the kitchen which we thought was water, but smells pretty rank. So I'm going to have to bleach the place down in case it isn't water (because yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck, YUCK).

You know, I hope it is next door that's on fire and not, say, the other side of our house. That could turn out to be pretty awkward. Then again, it would solve the leak problem.
