I was going to do a fannish update today but that's going to have to wait until tomorrow evening because due to a small miscalculation of time on my part, I've yet to see Friday's Numb3rs. So, yeah, that'll happen tomorrow.

--

Classes start tomorrow. I just read lots of Coleridge and Wordsworth. UGH. Most of it's stuff I've read before, and the rest of the course looks much more interesting, but tomorrow may indeed be deathly. It's such a weird timetable. Anyway. I'm just glad classes have started up again.

This does mean I have to wake up early tomorrow. My choice of alarm: Regina Spektor or the Empire Records soundtrack. Hmm. Choices, choices.

--

I will to emails and comments between classes tomorrow. I've had a TIRESOME weekend and very little compulsion to do anything worth anything. Lamentable excuses and all, yet the truth for once.

--

Saturday night was very odd. The Flatmate, T and I watched four hours of crime shows. Voluntarily. Three of which I'd seen before. It was ODD. I cannot be fannish with these people. ODD.

--

I really, really, really want to be up to date with Friday Night Lights already because I read some reaction posts to the new season and am now Very Intrigued-slash-Excited. But I haven't seen any of the first season yet. Nor have I caught up on Mad Men, though I am up to speed on Damages which, yes, continues to scare the shit out of me. And that's nearly finished, too.

Classes range from the fantastic to the intolerable to the "boring" for me. Good luck with yours, love.

And what crime shows did you watch? Because I was totally watching a L&O Criminal Intent marathon yesterday and loving it.

Classes in the end were Mostly Average but look set to improve. (We, uh. Hmm. We had to do this word association/dissociation thing today and then read out our word lists. "Curious, M, those were quite violent, no?" Ohdears.

We watched: NCIS, CSI, SVU and Criminal Minds, all one after the other. IT WAS VERY STRANGE because I was Very Excited by some things and they weren't Getting It. (I envy your country's penchant for marathons. Such a thing would bring me intense glee. Was it a specific season or just a melee of episodes? Also: I saw the season premiere! Which was different, and yet still a love-fest.)

It was the previous season. They had a two day marathon airing it all. Needless to say, I was hooked as usual.

Our country has so many marathons because there is little else to put on. It's either a marathon or another horrible movie edited for content. Also, we are fond of the Holiday Marathon. I think I celebrated 4 July with a marathon of CI as well.

And I loved the season premiere. It had USA's mark on it, yes, but Eames! Damn that woman can act her ass off when she has to. Bless her.

re: your icon, Helen Mirren = made of win.

Erbe killed me in that episode. That scene when Bobby is telling her that her husband's killer is still at large, and she's all "this isn't one of your PUZZLES, BOBBY" and also the final scene, with the arrest? She was pure brilliance.
