I feel like I should do a fandoms I have loved thing but in thinking about it, I have come to the realisation that I would be here FOREVER, and that likely I would turn out all BITTER and JADED and unable to explain why I watch Doctor Who.

--

Speaking of Doctor Who, I read the season 3 recap at TWoP (I refuse to be shamed; Jacob knows how to write goddammit) and suddenly looked at Martha in a whole new way. I mean, I love Martha! She's... Marthalicious! But I sort of see her usage in a new way now, and it makes a lot of sense. Especially with other things that I have read in fandom itself. Hmm. Thinky.

--

Oh, and in reference to fandom, I have another week's worth of viewage to round up. Huzz. Mostly, though, I want to talk about NCIS. Like, a lot. Also: about the things that I have heard about 5x03! All good.

He dicho que cantabas en el viento
como los pinos y como los mástiles.
Como ellos eres alta y taciturna.
Y entristeces de pronto, como un viaje.
I have said that you sang in the wind
like the pines and like the masts.
Like them you are tall and taciturn,
and you are sad, all at once, like a voyage.

PABLO NERUDA, from para mi corazón

So, I don't know, maybe it's obvious, but I have a thing for non-English poetry right now. So if anyone knows which poem Regina Spektor sings in Après Moi, that knowledge would be worth something to me.

Ooh, poetry in non-English. I feel you, I do.

I don't know what poem is being quoted in Regina Spektor's Apres moi, but the saying apres moi le deluge is pretty well explained here. Hope that's helpful.

Thanks for the link; I knew that part already. No, it's a Russian poem and I had the information once but I don't know where I saved it. *headdesk*
