So I showered early this evening and figured, heck, I'm not going anywhere, and changed into my PJs. At 8.30ish, I get a phonecall from xanitia who is in D. for a friend's get together with no-where to go. xanitia being my BFF, I was all, SURE, COME OVER. We hung out, there was poking and screaming and other forms of joy. By 10pm I was dressed and walking into D. to go to our friend's place. Not quite how I planned my evening and a little socially awkward because (a) I'm hella vanilla, and (b) the few people that were there are Nice People but not exactly My People. The Fairy's do is a week Monday, and that is my people but I think even if xanitia makes it (which she may not) that could still be Very Awkward.

And yet. A good time was had for ninety minutes. And the ninety before that.

(There was also a portion of the evening where Baby Cousin and I danced to The Corrs and Destiny's Child. GUYS. It's like some sort of WEIRD ASS pop revival. I don't know what to do with myself.)

HAHA. There was a drinking game wherein you say, "I have never done xyz" and if you have done xyz, you take a drink. My first admission was something I don't think is that big a deal - I'm a virgin, which, whatever - but my mate was all, REALLY?! I don't think I've laughed so hard. Some of the things that were coming out were priceless, too. DRINKING GAMES. Hi, my name is M, and I play drinking games in my hometown, not when I'm at uni. /backwards

Heh. I am much amused by your backwards approach to uni+partying. ...Maybe because I'm much the same?

HEH. I think a lot of it's to do with comfort levels, you know? Like, in my hometown, I'm only five minutes away from people I know, and I know the lay of the land, whilst if something were to happen in Soton, I'd be a bit screwed.
