HAHAHA. I am so LAME. So, there happens to be, in fandom, a person who goes by the name deadlikemedaisy; I always used to get her mixed up with call_me_daisy. I ONLY JUST REALISED WHAT HER USERNAME IS ABOUT. Hot damn, but I'm a moron.

Today will be another correspondence filled day, yo. So many comments! Will get to that in a minute. Today is also A-level results, so good luck to whomever that applies to, and... I probably need to make some phonecalls, don't I?
--
Speaking of phonecalls, there is a girl in our group of friends with whom I fell out a number of years ago. Nothing overly dramatic, we just decided we weren't entirely mutually compatible and thus stopped talking.
xanitia and I bumped into her and her husband (another friend of ours; he's a good guy) the other day and I felt extremely awkward. Anyway, she's especially friendly with The Fairy who is leaving for France in September (for a year) and is organising a leaving/birthday do for her. And she called last night and I was considerably freaked out. It would have been a better conversation if The Baby and The Sister weren't making loads of noise but they were, and I couldn't quite hear the girl, so I ended up babbling like the moron that I am.

Naturally, now that
xanitia has no more days in D., the sun comes out to play.

Am reading a flister's dissertation and it is made of brilliance (no, really; it's both eloquent and interesting). It's also scaring the crap out of me, so I have to keep reminding myself that she's an MA student, and I'm only a BA student. Phew. Seriously, though, I really need to crack on with making notes for my text, I think. I don't want to get caught up in the noise that is the first semester, and reading week half-through will be needed for mid-term essays.

Man, whatever happened to The Calling? I loved their music when I was in y11. I'd come home at 4pm and the DJ would play them, without fail, at 5pm. Them, and Pink's second album, too. GOOD TIMES, GOOD TIMES.
