Ha, has anyone else heard the latest casting spoilers for season 4 of Doctor Who? World gets crazier every day.

Just returned from seeing PotC3. I enjoyed it for the most part. Wasn't wowed, was fairly irritated by Keira Knightley (as always) but I thought That Thing What Happened to That Character was appropriate. The Sister and I stayed to watch the clip after the credits which was ridiculous. And now to buy the third soundtrack.

I was sort of hoping for a companion who wasn't a young woman from early 21st century London, so I am slightly disappointed. Also, please tell me they aren't planning any jealousy-related tension between Donna and Martha, when the latter returns! (This would be greatly helped by Donna very much not having a crush on the Doctor.)

I'm really fairly apathetic to the decision. I liked Tennant and Tate's chemistry in the Christmas Special and I hope they can work with that. Other than that, I'm must just lol (because this (http://delgaserasca.livejournal.com/450479.html#cutid1) was my response to seeing CT at the end of S2) and now I'm not so bothered.

I also liked the way Tennant and Tate worked together in the Christmas Special; if they can build on that, I think having Donna as the new companion can be a great thing. I suppose now that I think about it a bit, she is quite different from both Rose and Martha in that she really wasn't that interested in adventures. There is also the fact that in the Christmas Special she was rather unimpressed and un-fond of the Doctor -- it was an interesting dynamic, and while I think a season of somebody not liking the Doctor traveling with him doesn't sound very good, perhaps somebody not over-awed by him would be.
