I'm in one of those moods where I feel like, if I could just write Helen/Andromache femslash, all will be right with the world. Trust me, I felt more than a little gross typing that out and yet it remains true. Apparently I'm running a fetish for badly-adapted epics because I'm watching Tristan + Isolde. I'm not so desperate to turn to Alexander (the only good thing about that movie was Angelina Jolie and she wasn't in it half as much as se should have been) and I don't have a copy of King Arthur (which filled me with rage but which I also really need to see, like, RIGHT NOW). I feel like I should just go and buy the first season of Xena and get all this need for swashbuckling capers out of my system, except first season Xena isn't terribly tragic and I HAVE REAL, ACTUAL WORK TO BE DOING.

Speaking thereof, if anyone finds anything on jstor regarding child&adult relationships in children's literature, I will be very grateful. If not, I'll have to write about fantasy in children's lit, and that would be less satisfying. Or maybe not. Hmm.

GIP GIP GIP. I hate the plot, I hate the scene, but I've developed a fondness for the way in which the icon turned out so.

edit: I should watch Rome! That fits, right?

Rome is an excellent solution.

In addition to Jstor you should look at Academic Search Premiere. They may have some more articles for you.

And, oh Mack. They truly made me cringe with his character.

I'm working on it *g*

That's the EBSCO archive, isn't it? MLA bibliographies... we access that via CSA Illumina. I tired that today, no luck, but Porjec Muse had wonderful stuff for me so I'll be trawling through that today. Thanks for the tip, though. Much appreciated!

Oh, Mack, indeed. *disappointed*

That's a zip of the original caps I made :) Considering Andromache's husband just died, the femslash seems inappropriate. And yet! There it is. XD (It's from Troy, by the way. Helen wears this sari-like dress through most of it that I covet passionately.)
