NEVER GETS OLD.
That is easily one of the best episodes of the seasons. I love season arcs that play through neatly, and I'm pleased Jenny is being utilised (even if it's in a way that I don't always agree with, but whatever, it makes canonical sense). Plotty episodes equal for the win, and this one was strong for that.
Other things of win: JETHRO ; FORNELL; JETHRO AND FORNELL; JENNY AND FORNELL; JETHRO AND ABBY. JETHRO AND FORNELL AND JENNY!!! I think that scene (and all the coy smiles) killed me.
(Aside: Benoit's mother? Blah, blah, blah, blah, yaaaaawn. I quite like Benoit herself but whatever. I find that Numb3rs does this a lot - breaks up tension by using 'people' scenes. I have no issue with that unless, as in this case, they use stupid fillers.)
Question: Jenny's underwear?
Question two: Bridal Guide?
"You gotta be kidding me."
"...old habit."
*bounce*
I really love how you can almost split this show up in terms of rank and that there's a whole contingent of senior agents who get to run the show once or twice a season. That? Is amazing. Especially when it leads to things like:
"Agent Fornell (?)"
"Jenny, Jethro."
"Get lost on your way to work, Tobias?"
...
"Langley hates the FBI."
"Yeah, but not so much as they hate you right now. You really pissed them off over something."
"And so you volunteered to smooth things out."
"Not exactly 'volunteered'. I just drew the short straw."
...
"And who said the old days are dead?"
"Not them." [Fornell leaves]
"Well, I guess hell hasn't frozen over after all."
If Gibbs had smiled any more during that scene, I may have combusted. They're a weird group of people. Fornell and Gibbs having married the same woman, hating each other, not hating each other; Gibbs and Jenny; possibly Jenny and Fornell (I feel I need to tell you that I originally typed Fornelly), because really, who knows? I LOVE THEM. I could totally watch a prequel where Jethro, Jenny and Ducky are gallivanting around Paris and Fornell is irritating. ZOMG.
ANYWAY. I quite obviously loved this episode VICIOUSLY.
I need to rewatch the pilot. Hmm.

Date: 2007-04-25 08:45 pm (UTC)Yeah, I thought about that. But then I wondered if it was a job gone bad and they'd been lovers or something. I think we're supposed to think it's something like that and it's actually not. The season will end with it, though. I'M SO PSYCHED. !!!!

Date: 2007-04-25 08:55 pm (UTC)She was pretty cool, which is saying something because as much as I've come to like the character, she can come across pretty annoying/boring. But she was awesome. I just wish they'd stop dressing her in boxy jackets, lolz. /shallow

Date: 2007-04-25 09:03 pm (UTC)No, no, no. I love the scene when she's just given up coffee, lol. (I wasn't the hugest fan of the Mann scene because jealous!Jenny gets tiring, quick. Also, I don't see why two high powered women would piss to mark their territory, you know? I'd have liked it more if they were friendly.) BUT WHATEVER. I think TPTB might kill me if they ever did a show with Mann, Fornell and Franks. I WOULD DIE. BUT I WOULD DIE HAPPY.
