After last week's episode, this one was pretty neatly placed.

Obviously a slow-moving light-filler, but so cute on so many levels. You know, when Perette was in New York studying for her Masters in Forensic Science, she bartended! Which is why I loved that scene with all of the cocktail mixing. I really wish it was less obvious that the coffee-house guy was the one that did it, but whatever. And who was McGee's publisher? (a) She was cute and (b) I recognised her from somewhere else.

I LOVED PUBLISHER LADY'S PA. The scene when he's running had me and my sister screaming with laughter and trying to hide behind one another.

"They can't get married - they're completely wrong for each other!"

Oh, Abby and your bowling nuns, making a reappearance mention from 4x01, Shalom. Also: Ziva is still wearing dead-guy's hat, and Dinozzo seemed bizarrely distant for parts of this episode. So. Overall: slow episode, fun, though, and one for long-term fans, I think. People who've seen fewer episodes won't get the in-jokes so much, y/n?

Am I the only person who thinks McGee's main character sounds like a cat? I can't stop imagining the whole thing taking place with a gruff moggy (who, incidentally, has a pipe). Cracks me up!

I sort of hate that there are only four more episodes until the end of the season, and typically? Sweeps kills me.

edit: The actress I recognised? Was in Chicago Hope. You're right, [livejournal.com profile] fallapartagain, Harmon totally totes his co-stars around with him, lolz. Also: she was totally Dan's shrink lady in Sports Night. Awww.

I don't know what's up with DiNozzo being out of character at work, now, but the fact that the team notices and mentions it leads me to believe it has a purpose, so. I LOVE THE BOWLING NUNS! All the geeky, goofy little in-jokes made me so happy. PA guy! He was so checking Tony out, which was priceless - especially because his expression went from "HI THERE!" to "ONOEZ!" in .2 seconds when they come to bring him in later.

Oh, totally. Totally.

BOWLING NUNS! I'm taking that as a personal shout-out because I can.

"What do you call that?"
"Running --I think."
OMG. ! And that whatever sound the PA made when running has me and my sister in cahoots. I keep creeping up behind her and wailing, lolz.

Random: you be around later?

Oh, totally.
I wish they'd make their point already, though.

Speaking points, and failing to make them: Tony/Ziva elevator scene wtf?

Hee! I'm a broken record, but- I love this show. (And I've apparently forgotten how to type. *corrects typos*)

Yes? I'll be procrastinating, so yes.

Ha! I loved that scene? (I also loved Ducky talking about Tibbs' new girlfriend in the novel and MCGEE AND GIBBS' FACES OMG.)

Well. Ditto. (And ditto.)

OK, great, because I spent all day spamming [livejournal.com profile] wliberation and watching The Departed and got no writing done so I'm off to go and do that now and then I will be back to spam you because this is apparently my object in life.

Now that I've started watching Chicago Hope again with the downloads and other illegal means, I've spotted so many more people who've been in other shows - usually linked back to Harmon somehow. It's crazy. But I have hours of fun on IMDB spinning in circles between people!

I sort of love the idea of Harmon knowing everyone ever. If I was the type of person to indulge in real person fiction, I'd write a ton of them with Mark Harmon, Mandy Patinkin, Susanna Thompson et al. just because it would be so awesome. But I'm not that type of person, and a year since I first wanted to write that 'Mac Taylor meets Jethro Gibbs' fic, I still haven't done it, so I need to quit this already.

He is superman, he knows everyone on the planet! Or... something. (And I would totally love to read that fic if you ever get to writing it. I know I said this last year... and every time it's been mentioned since...)
