Am about to leave for On Reading, but a tiny fandom update.

I enjoyed this episode despite myself. I really like watching people work inside that bunker/war room, and Scott Foley really uses that space. Kudos to Robert Patrick for kicking the shit out of every scene he was in. I don't know why but I loved the way he tackled Bob and then Kim. I also really liked how the team dealt with Mack's hydrophobia issues, or whatever that was. A lot of support, a lot of clarity. It came off really well.

The psychic woman was the woman who used to do the voice for Management in Carnivàle. Kim's dream made me laugh so much, especially the opening, but I liked that idea that the women always knew their husbands.

"Have you ever cheated on your wife?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because she'd know."

I love what this says about the wives, but I also kind of hate what it says about him. I know he had no qualms about sleeping with Tiffy, and the suggestion is he'd do it still if he could get away with it. Which - not all that kosher. (That said, the dream sequence brought up more ideas of Kim/Mack and I need to stop ruining happy couples/marriages.)

Will watch the other episode when I get back.

This episode was fantastic from start to finish. Funny and intriguing, bringing in emotional pull for Jenny which is something they've not managed before this episode (in my opinion). I felt for her, and I felt for Tony and Gibbs. I loved Ducky so, so much. I want more episodes that have this level of intensity. I've really, really been enjoying season 4 and I'm glad I came back to the show. One dy I'll go back and watch the second half of season 3, too.

OK, I have to leave for my seminar or I won't get my reading done.

The amount of chemistry that Kim and Mack have together in comparison to the rest of the couples is startling. They make quite a good couple.
