My parents were watching Shanghai Knights of all things so I couldn't watch Law & Order. I'm all up to date with fandom because I watched Supernatural (meh), Grey's Anatomy (yay!), CSI (not as good as I wanted it to be, unfortunately, but Keppler may be schizophrenic so that's something) and Numb3rs. Being a Don-girl and a big fan of Don-canon, I should really have a lot more to say about the episode but I can't find the words. ANYWAY, no L&O and no fandom left.

So I decided to watch old school The West Wing. I have obviously developed into a hormonal train wreck because The Stackhouse Filibuster made me cry. I was going to watch 17 People but the other episode comes one before it and was on the disc. 17 People is one of my favourite episodes ever, and I love Richard Schiff so much. But I think it's a good thing I didn't watch it because The Stackhouse Filibuster prompts happy!crying whilst 17 People makes me hurt like a bitch, so.

I guess I coul always watch the rest of The Black Dahlia. Hmm.

See, I think 17 People may rank as one of my favourites regardless of the usual ones because Toby is this force, this giant force that has all his illusions shatter. To me it's like, he fought so hard to get this far and now he's going to be remembered as the guy who got the MS President elected. So, yeah. ILU TOBY. !

(Hahaha. Addictive. I have S1-2 and parts of S3 on disc; S4 I have on VHS. I love the latter half of season 2. It just kills me. From Stackhouse Filibuster to Two Cathedrals, every episode is a win.)

(Yay! And yeah. I'll go back and be all meta-y but I think that since I went all out on the penultimate CSI that aired, not to mention the nightmare that was X3, I'm a wee bit discussioned-out.)

(Midway through 17 People, & it's as awesome as I remember. Ainsley! Also: young 'uns in casuals. But yes, Toby takes this episode and steals it. I can't stop to think about Toby for too long because frankly, it makes me deeply sad. He's really a very tragic character, and the understated way in which that's presented on the show is really very awesome. Possibly I'm babbling.

Oh god, I want to watch The US Poet Laureate now and I DON'T HAVE THAT. Ar.)

(No, really, I used to *perv* on Don on a weekly basis and in the worst of ways. And then suddenly, it stopped. Bizarre. I haven't had the urge to meta in a long time, aside from the many thousands of things I have to say about old-school SG-1 that I'm convinced no one will give a damn about (because they're episode-specific for episodes many people haven't seen in years) and therefore, I am not writing down. I can't even be bothered to do ep reviews of things, these days.)

(Aw, Ainsley! Before she was ensared by the red-headed devil's spawn. Awwww.

NOT BABBLING. That's near spot on to how I see him, too. This completely tragic figure. !

I would share that with you but I can't upload from here. Apologies!)

(Haha, no, really, me too. But I think the more I watch the show, the less he turns out to be the way that he was originally presented and that made me care less. SIGH.

DO THE STARGATE RECAPS. Do them. *I* will read them. I will, I will. And I meta only when (a) there is a character that I am for whatever reason invested in and/or (b) something is really crap. It's not even real meta. My Don-diatribes are all about making canon fit my original perception of the character. It's self-indulgent to the point of masturbation.)

Damn, what is with me? I'm exhausted, and it's only just past midnight. Um, Soft Core over here is going to bed now. Don't let Toby (et al.) keep you up too long!
