Not nearly enough time...
Jun. 2nd, 2004 08:43 pmSo much to say and so little time! For those of you who hate my pointless TV diatribes, I'll leave it inside the cut.
Dear god, both CSI and L&O:Little and Large were fabulous. I love the writing dynamic; it's just so perfect. Sometimes a little scappy but just delirious in other terms.
The little boy on CSI was beautiful: he was so poignant and so poised with every action. he was only in three scenes! And he scared the hell out of me in the last one. The timing, the cuts, the directorial decisions in that last scene were just brilliant. I was awed by the quality of it all.
L&O: Little and Large will never be as classical as CSI but it was a creepily fantastic story yesterday; I was actually entthralled throughout the plot, which makes a change. OK, so I hated their original characterisation and I still hate Goren at times but I actually look forward to whatever new stunts he's going to play. Alex shouldn't be played as such an idiot but she's got her strong points too. At least he's not HoCaine although, seriously, ssometimes...
The SG repeats were a mixed bunch but I now have 2010 on tape - I'm so happy! I finally got to see the scene with Jack and Sam at his cabin. Hmm...it's smaller than I imagined. Oh well. Just, you know, general yay!
ER season finale on tonight. Actually, it's on in about 15 minutes. Dammit. OK, so now I have to cut this short.
So, Joy and Hollie came to Deeping today. I'm not quite sure if they made it home or not - stupid bus routes. We had various forms of fun, not to mention revision time. It's scary how much pure I've actually forgotten. And to think I have stats next week. Gr argh. We also bought edible rice paper (weird) and played with some ten year olds in the park, only because I wanted to play on the swing.
I have to go now - more on the aboves tomorrow. I hope. Still got that novel to learn. Hate.
