Oh, Claire Forlani, why so miserable? You are beautiful. You should smile more. Seriously, your face does amazing things when you do. You always look so tired and, well, irritable. Such a shame.
Also, Editors, I love you. I LOVE you. I have surrendered to the will of your music completely. Thank you for existing.

Sad things are afoot to remind you that your life is never as bad as the next guy along and that you should make the most of things whilst you still have the chance.

So, I'm home now. Newc. was awesome. Walked a lot, possibly killed my feet forever, and attended
xanitia's lectures which was awesome. I'm doing this in the wrong order.
OK, so, train from Hudds. was late by about ten minutes yet I got into Newc. at circa the right time. Came off the train and naturally was mauled by
xanitia. We walked the TWO MILES to her student digs and chilled out. This involved throwing teddybears and stuffed dragons because it is tradition for us to throw crap at each other. We also played random computer games, which was amusing. One was very violent and the other involved Egyptians in a way that I have yet to fathom. We trekked to Morrisons only to be barred access wtf, and ended up doing a round trip and going to a local c-store. Later we watched Pirates of the Carribean because it's a good film, yay.
On Monday we woke at 8am and left halls at 9am, got to her lecture theatre about an hour later because I'm slow and, again, it was 2 miles. The first lecture was a stats module with no real maths in it, so
xanitia was pleased. Admittedly, I nearly fell asleep as per always but I blame this on not having anything to write. The next lecture was one of the two psych. modules she's taking - this one was really interesting and made me miss A-level Psych liek woah. We went out to buy stuff for my rents' 25th anniversary (4 champagne flutes and a card!) and had lunch out. Panini = yummy. Then we went back to halls (via Morrisons) and I aired my feet for an hour before we headed back to campus for the final lecture which was another psych. module. This one was even better than the one we went to earlier in the day. Colour me impressed. Post-lecture we went back to halls. (I feel I should note that one of the ducks is in
xanitia's care and we've taken photos of it all over Newc. I will post them tomorrow *g*). In the evening we hung out in the dining area with
xanitia's friends, all of whom are a special variation of crazy. It was brilliant :)
Woke up c.8-something and was in pain for whatever reason. Avoided being ill, huzzah! Walked to the train station at 10, got there at 11 and onto the train 20 minutes later.
xanitia took a photo of the duck at the station, yay! Train left at 11.30, I got into P. at around 1.45pm and The Dad gave me a lift home where someone was putting up new curtains.
The weekend has been INSANE and AMAZING and I can't STOP talking like EDWARD MONKTON have had a really great time.
wishes_of_stone and
xanitia are excellent hosts and really good friends. Good times :)
Today is my parents' 25th wedding anniversary and The Dad tells me that we're going out for a meal so it's a good thing that I ironed my skirt and top. The Sister is waiting to use the computer so I have to sign off now.

I am VERY SLOWLY working my way through my flist. It is a long task because y'all are chatty! Expect comments :) (Adding fashion/runway comms to my flist probably equals a Very Bad Thing.)
Also, fandom is something that I have barely thought about so watch the spoilers, guys. Also also,
duck_cheer is actually happening so keep an eye out for that. Aaaaaand I'll add more later if I can think of anything else. I feel this is a fairly comprehensive post, though. Oh, we may have a new house to view? T emailed me to tell me she'd found a place. I think she's going to check it out and get back to the rest of us but yay! Accommodation!
