Still feeling randomly resentful when I flick my eyes over the flist. I don't hate you, lolz, I just am a bit meh about talking. Also: I was up til around 4.30am, so now I'm mad at myself for waking up so late (10.30am) and not having enough time to get my shit done today.

Yesterday was my housemate T's birthday. I came back from my second lecture, which was amazing. I can't wait to finish Absalom, Absalom! because a lot of what was being talked about in the lecture makes me excited, which I'm hoping is a lasting feeling. Anyway, came back from my second lecture, was irritable towards my internet connection. I'd bought balloons and a cake earlier in the day, so when The Flatmate returned, we (tried) to blow them up. The round ones were easy, but I'd also bought some of those superlong ones that you get. We ended up using T's bike pump to blow those up and thn we tried to make balloon animals out of them. Tried and failed.

Around 8.30, we had cake! Except we didn't have birthday candles so we put tea lights in shot glasses and put those on the cake instead. The cake was yummy, as was the red wine we were drinking. Then we went out to The Mitre to play pool, and then foozball (there are photos, I believe). I SUCKED royally, but it was a really good time. We got back around 11pm, and sat in the hallway eating more cake and generally being stupid. T tried to fix my flip-flop by stapling it. I have a video of it. It's cute.

That was 1.40am, 2am? Then I started talking to sepiaxtoned and binglexjells, and ended up doing two betas, heh. Which is why I was up at 4am. OUCH.

Now I dohave to go and read Absalom, Absalom! My screening this morning was Psycho but I went last year so I skipped it. Later, I'm going into town with The Flatmate, T and N. I will be buying ducks, tickets to see Lenny Henry and Omid Djali (!!!), and The Flatmate's birthday present. Her birthday is on Sunday, and her mum's given her two bottles of sparkling wine, so good times are obviously ahead. There will be yet more cake and balloon ('tis tradition!) and we're going to the SU to see Children of Men, too. I think my housemates are trying to get me to go out on Friday night, but I'm not sure yet.

Classes end this week, next week is reading week, the week after is the frst of the two exam periods. If I get my two essays done before then, and am prepped for my exam on the 25th, I can have the week after that off. I'm hoping to go to Newcastle to see xanitia although I have to tell her that yet, heh) and to stop off at Huddersfield before that so that I can visit wishes_of_stone who tells me by that time it will have been 8 months since we've seen each other. TRAGIC! (No, it really is. That wasn't sarasm.) So. Need to get my ass into gear!

I went to see Omid Djalili last year, and I swear, I nearly wet myself laughing. He was so funny. He'll be in Nottingham next month, I'm so thinking of getting tickets to see him again. So I hope you have a good time!

I'm really excited about it, actually. I love him! I find him so funny and every time he's on the telly, my mum yells for me, or calls me, hee!
