Dear Torchwood people,

Probably not a great idea to devote a whole five-minute segment on how shitty each one of your characters is.

Whatever,
M.

I enjoyed the bit where everyone was gay in the 1940s, but the second half SUCKED. It sucked BADLY. It was AWFUL. Bad, bad, bad TV. Atrocious. Plain SHITE. Absolute BOLLOCKS. CRAP CRAP CRAP.

I've never been so disappointed by a single hour of television, honestly.

The only good scene was Gwen's disgusting grief. It was grotesque and strangely wonderful. (And the reference to The Doctor at the end didn't hurt.)

AND THEN, OF COURSE, THERE WAS THAT FUCKING KISS WITH IANTO, THE HELL. And whilst I'm all for it being about time, I'm also in a state of WHAT THE FUCK? Does this mean Jack's back with The Doctor? And if the episode with Owen's girlfriend took place Christmas Eve, why no mention of the goings on in London, or was that all specific to Donna? I MEAN SERIOUSLY, WHAT IS GOING ON?

I didn't think it was the world's greatest, but I liked the Jack/Jack and the Jack/Ianto. And I loved Jack's happy smile at the end when he heard the TARDIS.

I'm a little confused at the timing of it all - I guess next season of Torchwood will pick up where Season 3 of Doctor Who leaves off?

That was what I thought: Jack goes with the doctor, and presumably returns in time for Torchwood series two. *shrug* The timeline is weird. I don't understand it, so I just nod and smile like it makes some sort of sense - or like it's not supposed to. Oh well.

I try not to think about chronology and timelines on Doctor Who - it gives me a headache!

As you can probably tell (*g*) I wasn't impressed. I'm all for angsting but emo I can do without. Oh well.

(Jack's little smile was lovely. On that we can agree, lol. And I liked Jack/Jack! That episode was good! Just the second half that was so painful.)

I guess so. I don't even know, lol. I like the idea of having Jack on Doctor Who, but the Jack we know via TW is very different to the Jack of DW. We'll see what happens, eh?
