Taking a break from the voracious studying I have been doing since my return from this morning's (confusing) lecture. I have lots of notes and have finally deciphered my essay question, whittling down the words so that now I actually know what the damn woman wants me to write on. (For those that care, the answer is 'otherness'.)

Anyway, first-lines meme, because it's fun. Eventually I'll get around to the year-in-fic meme, but I want to wait until I'm closer to Christmas before I go to that one because I might have something to post before then? Doubtful, but here's to wishful thinking, eh?
