I handed in my film essay; only af. lit. left to do, hurrah! Now I'm going to watch things from last week whilst I write up class notes from across the semester. (Last night, post-Spooks, I stayed up to watch Studio 60 and ended up watching Torchwood, too. The former was anti-climatic because I don't expect a dramedy to be telling me how to think, so whilst I could accept this verbose whatever from TWW, it's getting to be a bit much from S60. I did, however, like the line "because there's no way to get to the end of that scentence without saying that homosexual love is something less than heterosexual love" [paraphrased] because that's what I've been trying to say for a long time without being able to find the words. I, um, loved Torchwood? Although I'm told others didn't?) Today I'm going to get through the rest of Bones which I apparently started some time last week? Then BSG, SPN and VM. Maybe not all today. Tonight we're going to see Transamerica, huzzah. Good times? Quite possibly.

I liked Matt's question how the gay couple next door getting married affects anyone elses marriage, and why that's their fault. But yes, one would think Sorkin had gotten all his soapboxing over with in four (five?) seasons of TWW. And it's slightly less obvious and irritating when the people being patronising are actually in a position to change things.

Last week's Bones made me so, so giddy. Zack & Hodgins have this scene together which had me making little squeaky noises behind my hand.

And ROTFLMAO! I so did gett that. By the third time you did it, at least. God, the cheek.

YES IT IS OMG. It helps that Zack and Hodgin's relationship is about my favourite thing about the show, but oh, the giddiness. Also re: Hodgins: he flirts inappropriately. He has this smirk that is almost a leer which is definitely unsuited for use in the workplace. On Zack.

The &hearts thing is so infective, too. As is your habit of placing exclamation marks outside of sentences. Or maybe I'm just very prone to picking up other people's speech patterns & typing quirks.

I WATCHED THAT SCENE REPEATEDLY. (And the one where Brennan is dozied up as Booth's girlfriend but that's only because I was fascinated by her hair.) Hodgins/Zack is a pairing that I love to pieces but I can't find fic? Or maybe that's because I don't read Bones fic?

Tip: ! = excited/flailing. It's my short hand for doing the jazz hands. And I pick up loads of habits from all over dodge. Like re: which I love, and previously, lolz, which was my ditzy blonde laugh. /random

My quirks change rapidly. I'll look back at old lj posts and be all "I honestly talked like that?" Heh. I used to 'lol' and 'lmao' all the time, and was heavy on the smilies until I conciously made an effort not to. Either you got the re: from me, or I got it from you - in any case, it's v. handy.
I think I mentioned before that I picked up my English from all over the place -- and this is going to fuck me up if I do make it to England: I often can't tell the difference between British and American English, both in spelling and figures of speech.

ME TOO! & with a hand clasped to my face to muffle the squealing. Zack/Hodgins, oh. Do not get me started. I fell so in love with that pairing when I first started watching Bones, and I was so disappointed when there was no fic, no community, and only two or three people who had the pairing listed as an interest. Apparently, it's because the fandom are slashophobes & too busy with the het. Or, rarely, the Booth/Hodgins, which, wtf?
