So, any Criminal Minds fans out there? How about fans of Mandy Patinkin?

[Error: unknown template video]

I can't stop singing the bastardised versions, now. Srsly, lolz.

Hahahah, I love how I've watched that about a million times, and yet I never tire of it. Golden. Unfortunately, I've missed the proverbial boat on Mandy, so this isn't quite as enjoyable as it should be. This could be, in part, because of my long-standing vendetta against Gideon. Or it could be because I hate his voice, it works both ways.

They really do get stuck in your head, though!

I think I'm way more amused by it being him than been enamoured by the character at all. (Gideon is one of those, meh, whatever characters for me. Same as that skinny blonde whose name I can never remember.)

"Stanglers in the night!"

Now I want to go out and bastardise my own songs. Yay for procrastination.

I giggled for days after I first saw that. Oh, Mandy.

Fact of the day: Mandy Patinkin played Che Guevara in the Broadway production of Evita. Because until that damn paper is done, I'm not going to stop talking about Guevara.

It's so weird to see that icon twice and have it associated with two people. /random

(Oh Mandy, you came and you killed without warning... um. So the whole make-my-own-versions thing isn't going so well.)

You realise that Mandy is now synonymous with Antonio Banderas? (Also Che, except avec Madonna; Waltz for Eva and Che is one of my favourite musical tracks ever. EVER.)

I didn't see [Unknown site tag]'d used it until I hit 'post', but yes, it's odd. It's even weirder when she uses it to reply to one of my own posts.

Ha! They're having Benicio del Torres (I'm spelling that wrong, aren't I?) play him in yet another Che film coming out next year. I'm not sure how I feel about that. (I've never heard it. :C)

Well, Benicio Del Toro has the face for it if nothing else. I've only seen him in Snatch so I'm not sure how well I can judge him as an actor.

(It makes little sense out of context and, having just found it on my iTunes, it's probably not the best musical ever. But! Eva and Che arguing! &hearts. I'll share it eventually. When I can get things to cooperate.)

Del Toro, yes. All over the place today, sorry. I've never seen him in anything I remember, it's just that Gael Garicia Bernal = Guevara for me right now, so anyone else is automatically weird. I'm also not sure we need another film about him so soon after The Motorcycle Diaries. *shrug*

(Guevara and Evita never actually met -- but he did send her a letter asking for a jeep. [/trivia])

He's...dirty looking. And Bernal is the world to me right now. I can't wait to see The Science of Sleep. !!!

(I know, which is why I love that image of the two of them battling out in this metaphorical and literal waltz. I did not know about the jeep.)

But also, not everyone makes a mental connection re: TMD and Che. I guess because when the movie came out, it wasn't flagged as that sort of movie. I know my friend was expecting it to be Y Tu Mama Tambien on wheels - which it thankfully wasn't because whilst I loved YTMT, TMD was satisfying on a completely different level.)

I like that, actually. That's it's only about Che if you know it is. I haven't seen Y Tu Mama, but I'm going to. This was my first exposure to Garcia Bernal and it was a very pleasant experience.

(And he didn't get the jeep.)

Gotta run, I have a train to catch. xxx

Yes, definitely check out Y Tu Mama Tambien.

(Ah. Thanks for the note *g*)

Have fun! x

*giggles like mad* I want that album now! (What was this "add" made for, anyway?) And oh, it's him. I can't help being reminded of all those times he sung on Chicago Hope which, to be honest, were always horrible moments but that might have been on purpose. His character was a nutter. He's not nearly as bad here. As a singer, I mean, not mentally. And god I love bastardised versions. (I almost wrote verisions. Which is kind of appropriate if you know that blood is veri in Finnish. ...Ha ha?) /babbling

Me too! (I have no idea. It amuses me, though, and I love how he lended himself to the play.) Chicago Hope! Man, that was years ago.

(Verison is deer meat, right? Which makes sense. /geek)

They just aired re-runs of Chicago Hope here, so that's why I remember it so vividly. Especially the musical episode. Oh, good ol' times. ...okay, not that good, but entertaining nonetheless. And Mark Harmon! (or is it Hammon? I always think that I'm getting it wrong. Well, one or the other.)

(Venison.)
