First off: yes, I believe in gay rights, but honestly? Just saying so doesn't prove it. The meme irritates me on a minor level. People who aren't posting it probably support gay rights, too, but really don't want to be guilted into an action by a goddamn meme. The entire wording of that thing is grating. Bloody manipulative. (Um. This isn't a rant against the flisters doing this? More like at the person who started it off.)

Secondly, wireless is working in the house. Not on my laptop because my laptop is being a wee bit daft but that's okay because yo, ethernet cable. Today I went into the health practice and it turned out they didn't need more admin folk so I ended up walking a round (a round, not 'around'), and then taking a bus to the city where I purchased postcards. There's one in particular that would make a wonderful icon but alas! No camera or scanner. Oh well.

Last night was fun. The Flatmate and I went downstairs to make dinner, and then T joined us. There were cheese-related escapades and fun. Then we came upstairs and drank lambrini whilst watching clips on youtube (and also Supernatural which is probably more fun if I watch it on my own because when I watch it with other people I realise just how awful a show it is). The Worrier's friend, D, was here and the two of them were playing a trivia game downstairs. I got roped in, then I roped in The Flatmate. Joy ensued. (D helped to [1] fix the wireless, and [2] sort out K's wireless card. He was fair useless but between the two of us we managed to get the thing online so maybe not so useless afterall.) Tonight we're all going to The Mitre for the quiz night. The plan, when I return, is to watch all the things I have yet to watch. Yes, tonight.

Speaking of - I'm half way through Weeds. I love this show so much.

you're right on the mark re that meme. i was annoyed and just decided to ignore it. mind you, i wouldn't even say i support gay rights. i'd say i support their rights about as much as they support mine (woman, jew, working class, take your pick), which is to say yeah, more or less in general theory, but not actually lifting a finger for it.
