Good things:

+ The nun and penguin related paraphernalia I received from just about everyone today. Seriously. I feel it my duty to tell people that my favourite animal? Is the elephant. Yeah.

+ Lunch with xanitia in the park. Yay for maltesers!

+ MY LAPTOP *hugs berceuse* The new adaptor came today.

+ Chocolate cake, yum!

+ I got an unexpected email from wliberation! SO happy :)

Bad things:

+ Ugh. Feel a bit ill. Sigh.

+ RENT (I totally bawled at the ending, lol)

+ No-one here wants to see A Scanner Darkly with me :( (lia_van_helsing, we totally should go together! Why aren't we on the same continent?!)

Anyway, this weekend is a party in Leicester. I'm missing a friend's birthday to go to this family do. Hopefully it'll be worth it. Still, bit bummed out because I wanted to see all my friends. That said, we may all be going to the beach in early September, so that should be good.

OK, the RENT soundtrack has ended my ability to think so I'm going to end this here. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes and banners. My flist is honestly the very best. *hugs all*

My grandfather used to say he wanted an elephant when asked about birthday/Christmas presents. They are lovely animals, aren't they? And did you know they were matriarchal?

I had never heard of A Scanner Darkly before, but what I can find about it on-line seems interesting. I haven't been to the cinema in ages, maybe I shall have to pull myself together and go...
