So, out here in the dregs, we had a freakin' tornado yesterday. Nothing huge but this is the dregs and it had enough of an impact to hit the front page of the local dailies. Apparently 5+ people were lifted from the ground which is pretty scary for a country that doesn't really get weather like this (the conditions are very rarely ripe for such things to occur). Anyway. We had a tornado. *mind boggles*

My aunt and cousin are leaving today; my dad is going to give them a lift to London. My Baby Cousin came back from Leicester last night; her two cousins came back with her. What this adds up to is me possibly babysitting tonight. Shouldn't be too bad. Baby Cousin's cousins are pretty sweet, and Baby Cousin is love. Haven't seen her in a week (!)

Not going to P today, but am still going into D to see [livejournal.com profile] xanitia; will probably go to P tomorrow. Then it's [livejournal.com profile] crouchingmajor's birthday on Sunday. DVDs, sleeping bags and alcohol. Niiice.

OK, well, I should go and do something vaguely constructive now. To conclude: THERE WAS A SPIDER ON MY BED LAST NIGHT. Now, see, I'm fairly gracious. I let them live in my room and if they do not to be gotten rid of, I scoop them up and put them back outside (as opposed to killing them). But on MY BED? Not kosher. It's really quite rude, actually.

The spider on your bed? Definitely not kosher! Weird, because I dreamt I was whacking spiders with a rolled up magazine all night. I woke up with itchy ankles - yeuch. It's haymaking here and we get these wolf spiders - no kidding - I swear the one I saw yesterday was as big as my fist and had the beginnings of a beard.

Yes, harvest spiders are enormous! I saw one scurrying around the floor the other night and I just let it wander off. Shuddersome things.

Dream like that - did you get any sleep?!

Very little. I then dreamt that I was in North Wales during WWII, dodging Nazi soldiers. My head = no place to be.

Are you sure you're okay? That doesn't sound so kosher.

Well I'm guessing the Nazis came from watching Extras last night. And I have been swatting spiders, so... I prefer not to think it means I'm heading for a breakdown!

Eeeww. Spiders. I could sleep if I knew there was a spider in the same room with me. Seriously, I couldn't go into the bathroom without keeping my eyes on the ceiling for a week because there had been a spider there and I didn't know where it'd gone to.

A tornado? That is, whoa, weirdness.

I hope your babysitting goes well.

I used to be like that. Now, as long as I know where it is and it's not likely to be near clothes or, you know, MY BED (omg!), I'll leave them be. It's wasps I can't deal with. The buzzing goes straight through my spine.

I know. This is not Kansas, yo.

I do too. I don't know if I'm doing it yet but I was asked as a "maybe" this morning.
