The best thing about having watched (just about) all of S9 of Stargate in the past two or three days is that I don't have to wait to find out what happens. The second half of the season is much better and I can't tell if that's because I became more invested in Mitchell or because the stories surrounding the Ori became less about exposition and more about...something else. I think - no, okay, I know - I'm in the minority with regards to my flist on this issue but I still have a whole ton of love for Sam Carter. Vala grew on me and her return is disappointing in the sense that they didn't maintain the characterisation. Landry's daughter disappeared! But then I realised that's because Lexa Doig was pregnant again. I like that character. And I like the story of the Ori so long as the Ori themselves don't turn up. Please can all the Arthur mythos; it's boring and not even being applied properly. That said, keep making Mitchell refer to his time with the Sodan because I like that stuff. Anyway, much more impressed by the second half of the season and am ready to watch 10x01.

In conclusion, Shakira's Hips Don't Lie is so damn addictive.

hmm, i just about gave up on SG-1 myself (last one i watched was mid S9). do report on how S10 is doing, it sounds like the ori stuff got better after a while. (and re hips don't lie, have you heard the previous wyclef+claudette ortiz version?)
