I have no idea what it is with me today but all I want to do is scroll through my flist and squee fannishly. So if you get comments that basically sum to "OMG I KNOW"... that's why.

Anyway, I just got this note shoved under my door which tells me that "contractors will need access to your rrom to carry out 'electrical work' on 14-6-06 to 16-6-06." Um, okay. BUT WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO GO FOR TWO DAYS? Or are they just going to be inspecting the electrical things in my room? And considering this is post-exam haze, I need to be in my room packing up (so that I can run away from here. Had a bit of a mental on that front last night. Not pretty. I did, however, get fried bread from the whole ordeal so it worked out). Whatever. This is irritating. I suppose that gives me 12th/13th to do stuff, like, clean.

Figured out where the exam is and it starts at 2.30 so I'll get there for 2 just in case, you know, they've changed the venue on me or I haven't actually figured out the building and I need to search for it (or if they change the time. Yes, paranoia is switched to "on").

Hmmm...icons.

I actually had an exam where they did that. Or rather, where we were told by the person in charge of the course that the exam would be in one place at a specific time, while in reality it was in another place (and I think even started an hour earlier). I suppose we should have been grateful the exam was moved because originally it was planned for the week before (this was a German exam) when we were in Germany! A bit difficult to sit exams in Uppsala, Sweden while partaking in a university-planned trip to Rostock and Berlin. Anyway, I hope your exam goes well and that you don't have to frantically search for the place to sit it.

Possibly the contractors only need access to your room for a short period of time, somewhere in the time period they have specified. That is what usually happens to me when I have had notes like that. I still find it very unhelpful and annoying, in that you can't plan properly because they might either come really early on the first day or not unitl late on the last day and you just don't know so you have to be prepared for those and every other eventuality. Anyway, hope you aren't being turned out of your room for two days!

Exam seemed to go well, thank you. And yes, I don't suppose it'll be anything more than them checking to see if I've broken anything over the year but it's just the manner in which it was done that frustrated me somewhat.

But, huzzah! Sunlight!
