I've been thinking about the end of The West Wing and now I'm really glad that I haven't seen past the end of season four because I know that if I was watching now, I would be bawling my eyes out. Just, like, completely being five about it. Every series finale I have ever seen has made me cry like a baby - Due South, Buffy, Farscape omg, Dawson's Creek, THE LYON'S DEN OMG HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? And most of the time it's not even because the ending is sappy and supposed to be heartbreaking, I just get sad that it's over. Buffy especially because that was the show that ushered me through secondary school. When season 3 was airing in the UK, I'd come into school on a Wednesday, someone would say "Did you see--?" and everyone would scream, "OHMYGOD BUFFY EEEEEE!" One of my friends was nutty over Spike, another thought Angel to be very sophistique and we'd have conversations over whether Buffy or Faith was a more interesting slayer (yo, Faith much?) Hell, my CHEMISTRY TUTOR was obsessed with the show and would talk to us about it DURING CHEMISTRY TESTS OMGWTF? And the in-joke was that our Physics tutor was a werewolf (don't ask). I just remember being so sad when it was finished because, yeah, the show was fairly average but it was our show and made up so much of our time. I don't know.

But yeah, thank god I'm not watching TWW. I'd be bawling, I tell you, BAWLING.

Ahhh, Buffy. Them's were the days. It was actually my English/Media Studies teacher who got me hooked on Buffy. He was crazy about it and kept insisting we watched it in Media Studies as part of the horror section when we were studying genres. And I was all 'little blonde cheerleader killing monsters WTF' and he was 'no no no that's the whole point, watch it, it's fantastic!' And he was right.

You're wrong :) SFK. And before you say anything, he already knows. You should ask him about it, LOL.
