Before I start, I don't suppose anyone has David Gray's The One I Want? Anyone?

OK, so, tigertrapped and I just had a wonderful tête-à-tête of sorts over fangirls and the such and it lead me to think, well, what exactly are my obsessions right now? And I'm not just talking about which fandoms I'm actively pursuing, I mean in general. What things do I go fannish over in the hugest way? And then I thought, well, let's make a list!

[1] The colour red.

[2] Lists. Hahaha.

[3] Don Eppes of Numb3rs. I am being truthful. The show as a whole comes next on the list but if we're talking about going hormonal over any thing or person, let's be upfront about this and say is it really the show? Guess my answer.

[4] Numb3rs. Because OF COURSE.

[5] SK. Emails. Negative space.

[6] The Elektra Complex. Because recently I have been obsessed with the one-step-removed version (a la Adorno). GSR, Gibbs/Todd comes into this.

[7] Thandie Newton. IS THIS REALLY DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND? The woman is a staple of down-to-earth-ness that I miss from actors and my respect for her comes from that and her attitude to her work, as well as her acting abilities. Yes, she's beautiful, I agree, but it's not a deal breaker for me if she isn't.

[8] Megan's hair & Megan. Not, may I note, Diane Farr. (That's not to say that I don't think Diane Farr isn't awesome because I so obviously do but I also don't know much about her as a person or an actress).

[9] CSI: NY & Stella Bonasera. She is New York.

[10] Old school Sara Sidle. I will still go to war over old school Sara Sidle.

[11] Charles Conti (In Justice), his rugged Irish-ness and burdening Catholicism.

[12] Blue biros and good quality A4 pads of paper.

[13] Mind blowing sound. Violins, pianos, the minor key. Voices that can hold a fucking tune. The components of a song that make you dizzy when you hear them. Those! Three! Notes!

[14] Tim Speedle. Hell yes. And Danny Taylor.

[15] Faith. My girl, always. (And because honestly, Buffy was the one character on that show I really didn't give a shit about). Oh, and Dushku's voice before she had to turn it up an octave to prevent it from being ruined ohnoes.

[16] Rebecca Conti's hair. Dude, want.

[17] Nicole Kidman in The Interpreter. Eventually there will be icons.

[18] Voices. Man, voices.

[19] Jethro Gibbs. And Kate Todd. Together. (Man, that ship has warped my brain).

[20] Being multi-lingual. Being able to speak both Russian and Spanish. GUH. (Hello Antja).

[21] Etymology.

[22] People who can pronounce Kunstler correctly and yet are not German or German descended.

[23] Mer&Der! (Grey's Anatomy, yo. PRETTY PEOPLE!)

[24] Post-its. Novelty ones.

Are we surprised at the lack of fandoms up there? I'm not. Because I'm a fairly flippant fangirl. I only stick around as long as something is worth sticking around for. The only exception there is my UNDYING LOVE for old school Sara Sidle WHOM I MISS COME BACK TO US PLEASE!
