The Mother just called. She's sending me food. Yeah. I know. I don't get it either. But it means by lunchtime tomorrow, I'll have samosas. I'll also have t-shirts and MY POSTCARD HUZZAH. Anyway. That was The Mother's Random Act of Awesome for the year.

Your mother is fab. It puts me in mind of my favourite moment in A Little Princess when Sara wakes to find the muffins and tea and the attic all transformed into a cosy home for her. Bliss!
